It is done

I couldn’t find my save file for steam anywhere to delete it So I have instead removed over 650 cars from my garage. I intentionally drained my funds in the auction house. I now have just the 14 barn finds plus 55 Credits, and the game is uninstalled and hidden.

EDIT: This didn’t last very long. I’m already back up to 50 cars. I may or may not have an addiction

That feed up with being a pay to play beta tester? I can fully understand. Especially when they won’t fix the bugs we find for them.

There’s 14 barn finds??

There’s 14 totally pointless worthless barn finds you can not sell, trade, auction, gift, or otherwise remove from your garage. They sit there aimlessly taking up space. And if something happens and you need support to reinstall your profile for some unknown reason you end up with 28 totally worthless non-removable junk cars taking up valuable space. Maybe in FH6 they will drop the barn find idea altogether. Or maybe they just drop the idea of FH6 altogether.

I have 16 of 14 barn finds, the game says so…

Something about being able to buy or gift them early on, maybe ? Or something about a couple old barn finds from FH4 counting as barn finds in FH5 when they were added. I dunno. Pretty sure I got rid of the extra 2 somehow, maybe ?

Ehw? I’d pay max price to get more than one of about half of them. That’s how opinions can differ.

It’s just plain old dumb and outright stupid that these and many other cars can’t be auctioned.

The problem with FH5 was it felt off from the day 1 of it’s release

You are not alone. Its pretty rare that a game starts with alot of players and then go down from there. Forza 5 started with almost 40k players and by month 3 it had lost 75% players. And they never came back. In my world thats called a massive fail.

*It’s very common

Pretty much every game that starts with a lot of players loses them quickly, it’s just the life of a game.

Case and point, the numbers for another racing game
grafik
(A and B designate free weekends)

See how the curve falls off after release?

So pretty much any big game release in the last 10 years is a “massive fail” in your book?

Show some stats of another online game that had lost 75% of player in 3 months and never recovered. Singel player games might do that bec they have an ending. But last time i checked fh5 is a online game with weekly updates.

And yes i call that a fail. If 3 of 4 people quit in the first 3 months, if you call that a sucess then maybe your bar it a bit low.

Nice Goalpost move there

But if you want to play that game, here’s GTA V

(Unless you classify tthat as singleplayer to further your bad faith argument)

Your bar is unrealistically high, “If 3 or 4 people quit” works on a game that has around 100-200 players, not one that has 1000-2000, let alone 10000-20000.

Well gta still have 90% more players than fh5 and is 10 years old, from the stats i see and my personal experience i think its a fail. I mean you can only look at this forum and how dead that is, for me that dont say millions of players. There nothing that tells me that this game is a success i anyway other than the hype from when this series was in fact good and a success.

If you ignore the stats of other games, why would you think that this game is a sucess and not a fail?

Have you ever heard of the 90-9-1 Rule?

90% Lurkers
9% Sporadic Contributors
1% Power contributors

This happens everywhere on social media, including Forums

Now add to that that the forums comprise 0,001% of all players of the game, and there’s your answer.

First off, nice way of saying “i can’t argue against stats”, point for me.

But also, the game pulled a lot of people towards Xbox, it’s still classified as the best racing game on the Series consoles, #2 Game for the console in 2021 (behind Hades) (#3 Best PC game as well by the way, behind FF14 and Disco Elysium, both according to Metacritic), it brought in a lot of players who likely subscribed to one of either Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass, it brought the franchise forward in a massive way, and i’ve already won on stats but here is one anyway: It is the most successful game in it’s niche by a long shot, beating it’s competitors by 2x on an average day.

Well i wanted your personal opion? You know we can disagree witout aiming to prove each other wrong. You clearly dont agree with me and i wanted your option on why, thats all. There is no point in throwing stats on each other. I was talking about fh5 and not other games.

But yeah i agree thats fh5 is the best game out there in the “racing” genre. But compared to what forza horison was and what it has become, i think it’s a massive fail. If fh3 was released today with the same graphics and physics as fh5 it would prob have a much bigger sucess. And I think it’s the best out there, bec it don’t have any real competition.

That game in question is entertaining and enjoyable as well

Is there wheel support ?

According to Ubi… yes. According to users, don’t know how effective.

Works great with Thrustermaster TX GT wheel … adjustments need to be made to calm the swerve from left to right down…but after that…drives great. (search utube, wheel setting, Forza3 -4-5) Friends say G29 also good… Cheers

Huh. Given those three categories, I guess I’ll go ahead and slot myself into “Power contributor”. I’d update my flair accordingly, but that wasn’t an option.
