and its impossible to get in touch with anyone from Forza. I paid for this game to have early access and been having this problem for a whole day now

I have the same issue and submitted a ticket, but only got automated response that got link to the article on how to connect accounts…
There should be an option to reply to automated messages - please do that and indicate that the articles haven’t resolved your issue, and link this thread in your reply so the team knows further investigation is needed.
I can’t link it looks like it’s saying my Microsoft account is being used on another playstation account wold I be able to change it on the Xbox side or is it the playstation side I need to change
Linking accounts from PlayStation with Microsoft account doesn’t work, always shows error
Someone from support replied to me and recommended log in from incognito tab and it worked! So if anyone has the same problem that might be a solution for you

From incognito tab i am not getting the code to verify the email lol. Have the same problem with account connection, when they are planning to fix the bug, that’s crazy! Nice early play Microsoft
I found a solution to link the accounts! Change your DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4…It works!
