Is there a time limit for reward cars in the career?

Thank you for the answers and the disussion. I agree with you who thinks this is a bad decision and at least they should mark coming tmed events more clearly. This almost went under my radar.

I previously made a suggestion here that aims to solve this problem in the long run, as honestly, “come and go” mechanics can negatively impact the future of this game, where they’re adding content, only to remove it later or rotate it.

The Horizon games took this to such an extreme with the Festival Playlist, and even Gran Turismo 7 has this with its Used and Legendary car dealerships, such as with the rotation of cars on sale.

Cars in FM8 like the Audi R8 V10 performance and Acura ARX-05 being time-limited are a few examples, and in the upcoming update, it would be the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento and Ferrari 488 GTB. It doesn’t matter whether it’s new to Forza, new to Motorsport, or even a returning car, no car should ever get left behind.

Turn Ten promised that there won’t be any things like a battle pass or anything like that, but with the cars being time-limited, it surely is something like one, except you don’t invest money, but rather time instead.

Situations may arise for players, with the common examples being work-life balance, or even another example being that you’re away from home and don’t have access to the game, that the likelihood of missing out on content is extremely high.

I’d rather have it in a way where if you complete these tours, you get a free car, but if these events expire, at least you can still buy and rent them.

Mind you, there are 528 eligible cars in the car selection for “Buy or rent cars” in Free Play, but the six exclusive cars and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Forza Edition are missing from the lineup, bringing the true number of cars you can rent to 521.

I want to know if and when the reward cars will be available to win or purchase again. Will they come back?

Turn 10. Since some people have a life and can only spend so much of their time playing games. Please stop the nonsense of time related content.

I’m sick of this FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) crap. It’s supposed to make you want to play the game, but it often times drives players away because they can’t keep up with the obnoxious schedule e.g. Weekly.

FOMO is a cheap and artificial way to create “demand” for something that should always be in demand and the supply infinite.

I understand, there needs to be some motivation/reward for sticking with the game. Fine.

All they have to do is just make sure once a car leaves the FOMO rotation… We can buy it, eventually.

Maybe put a three week moratorium on it?

So, we’d have to wait before we can buy the car? While I hate time gates, I think this would be an acceptable compromise because it still creates FOMO (however lame it is), but it also allows players to get the cars, eventually, if they don’t have time for it, right now.
