Intermittent white "snow" on screen over game - Xbox one X,

Got my new setup up and running and FORZA 7 was my first trial of a video game. My current setup is

X Box one X
Yamaha Adventage A680 AV Reciever (Klipsche 7.2 speaker arrangement if your wondering)
65" LG OLED Monitor

All equipment is latest firmware.
X Box shows all green on 4K abilities

First run of Xbox was the movie Cars 3, which ran flawlessly; looked and sounded AMAZING!

Fired Forza 7 up and ran into some problems:

Game crashed on initial startup. I could hear the game but no video
Second try the game loaded but had a LOT of white know noise on the screen. It was very evident when the screen was black.
Third try a day later. Screen clear at first but noise reappeared later (albeit, noticeably lighter)

I’ve also had some framerate issues in the game, but I’ve had minimal gameplay time at this point.

Any input is appreciated.

I had a similar issue as well, resolved it with a better HDMI cable. Previous one (from og Xbox One) caused intermittent snow.

exactly, the hdmi cable that came with the X is really cheap and not capable of all the data pass required, you need at least hdmi 2.0

Got some new cables coming. But thought I would add a few more details.

Frame rate and general game speed (menus and such) are sometimes extremely laggy when this happens.

I did get about 2 hrs of smooth gameplay yesterday, by it screwed up again layer.
