Insane lag.

So I’ve been playing the demo on my own allot, and it’s been great. But then I played with a friend, and the lag was insane, on my screen we were side by side but I was 10+ car lengths behind on his screen. This happened throughout our entire play session, it’s game ruining. Hopefully it’s just a demo thing though, which it very well may be.

It’s nothing to do with our internet by the way.

I noticed a significant amount of lag as well, no game crippling but still laggy. Probably just the demo servers. Just like you, my internet was fine.

T10’s servers have been kinda sketchy since XB1 launched, TBH, FM5 is rendered unplayable sometimes.

I hope they sort out the problems soon, wishing them luck and godspeed.

Hmm, I haven’t played the demo online but I did watch others play and there’s only one guy in there lobby that was lagging, everybody else was fine, I play F5 online a lot and it’s not that bad lag wise at all. Keep in mind that all the servers for forza are dedicated cloud servers provided by microsoft’s cloud data base they built last year, so if you are lagging, try hopping on a different game and checking your connection.

I don’t believe anyone who says their internet isn’t the problem without a speed test to back it up.
Not saying it is your connection, but without the numbers it’s hard to believe. And doing a server right down the road isnt a real test, go cross country.

Case in point, I get 2MB/s down (not to be confused with Mb/s)
I only see lag when my connection takes a $%*#.
My internet is far from what I’d call fast.

I know it’s not our internet because me him live within 10 minutes of each other with the exact same internet provider and package. If I do a speed test I usually get 7 MS ping, 70 mbps download, but only 5 mbps upload. If I was playing with someone from the US (I’m in Australia) I’d understand, but we had about the best circumstances possible for playing online.

Perhaps it’s your location then, I do know over seas has less servers then North America so if you happen to have to fetch a server from a database that’s a decent distance then that could be the reason why. Perhaps try playing the demo online again in a few days when it’s not so packed, if that doesn’t work then I’m positive it’s just the fact that it’s a demo, still a fantastic one if I do say so myself.

Oh god please no lag, Why can other games on Azure run fine but not Forza?

Because Forza games have an history of being laggy online.

I understand that but moving onto Azure should of fixed this…Titanfall is the least laggy shooter i’ve ever played. Is it the case of really poor netcode?

Maybe because its a demo ?

That is a sensible explanation. A non-optimized code can really affect performance.
