I have recently been using the x-class cars quite a bit and I am encountering a problem that I don’t have with any other type of car. Sometimes when I start a race I will be holding down the throttle and the car simply won’t move. At other times during the race I will slow down to turn and when I press the throttle again, the car barely moves and I usually have to try shifting up and down a few times to get it to accelerate. Does anyone know what causes this and if so, how I can fix it? Thanks.
check your tune. sounds like somebody adjusted the final drive tward speed rather than acceleration. download a good tune. or if you tuned it yourself i’ll let you in on a secret. there is no straight long enough in the game for top speed to let you hit a higher speed than going for acceleration does, all it does is slow your acceleration and actually lower the top speed you will achieve. the other option is your controller wearing out or setting it for with clutch then not useing the clutch but then it would apply to every car/class so it has to be the tune.

It stalls easily. I have a problem using manual with clutch with the stock Indy car.
One problem I have noticed with these cars, that I find somewhat troublesome, is when doing a stock race at the oval with Indy cars. the draft is very inconsistent at times, as if some times it doesn’t work. At one point ill be drafting and making up tons of time doing about 236mph, then other times I’ll be drafting at the same distance, and not drafting at all barely breaking 229mph, Its very weird.
Perhaps something that should be looked at by the development team.
Indy cars stall easily. Happens IRL all the time also.
So what is the best way to prevent this? When I slow down and down shift, should I be throttling the car more so that the RPM doesn’t get too low? Sorry if this seems obvious, but I am new to Forza.
Are you using a wheel?
I have the same problem, it’s fine on lower class cars but I have this issue when racing with the Indy Car, not tried it on the stock tune tho as I normally download tunes as there are some real good tuners out there that make the car handle so much better. I thought my wheel was playing up but that was fine.
I called up the telemetry and realised the clutch is 75%-100% engaged and it was not a sticky B button. The only way to eliminate this for me is to race without clutch.
in xclass the clutch isn’t really needed. i can run as fast with a fully auto tranny as manual with clutch, espically in the lotus.
