Indy Car laps at Indy weirdness

Not sure what’s going on. I love sitting in my Playseat and doing laps at Indy in an Indy Car. But I’ve noticed that, regardless of the assist settings, when I’m at speed on the straights, approx. once per lap, I’ll be alone in the field and at about 238 mph when the car “hiccups” and the speed drops to about 232 before slowly creeping back up to 238. It’s a small thing but it definitely affects lap times. It’s like the car is going too fast and so the game decided to shave off a little speed.

It totally seems like it’s some kind of assist thing where the Xbox is trying to keep me under a certain speed or something. But all of the assists are off. Anyone else experienced this?

Is it possible the car is bottoming out on the track? If you tuned the suspension too soft this could happen.

Maybe hitting the rev limiter in that one area on the track?

It’s hitting the limit of the gearing, mine did that before I stretched the gears a little bit.
