Indecision buying fm7

Good evening kids, I’m playing the demo and I’m trying it deeply, and I like it, playing 4k all ultra with a gtx1080ti
…Reading all these reviews of problems I do not know how to buy it or not! some objective opinion where can I read it? to me at the moment he thumps nose qualifications and pitstops without animation, but for the rest I do not see all this horror …

Your on a forum that only complains about everything so dont get your hopes up.

I say make your own decision based off what you have experienced in it so far.

If you liked the demo and didn’t have technical issues, I guess you should buy it.

Unfortunately some people have standards and expectations for a full price AAA title. Really annoying isn’t it?

Well written by one of the lucky ones but I agree with most of it. I only have a few bugs so while technically correct the main bug makes the game CTD quite a lot which takes the gloss off the user experience. If T-10 is actively working on the fixes which I’d like to believe they are and you buy it knowing it has the flaws, prepared to wait for it to get ironed out then you will have a good game on your HD. I love the single player and if you consider the amount of cars available, tracks it can keep you busy for a while.

the games a solid 2 out of 10.

You want an objective opinion and help (certainly something the user MEDIC 1 never does. Help.)

FM7 would be a cool game and I would rate it above 80/100…if it didn’t have so many problems. Here’s a few of the major issues:

[bugs]

[features]

  • adjudication (penalty) system for players wrecking and cutting corners still nowhere in the game, even if T10 confirmed FM7 would have it. If you race online you know this is a big deal. It’s unplayable in public lobbies since…Forza 5, because up until Forza 4 we had a vote to kick system that everybody could see in the lobby interface, making it very easy to remove the problematic players
  • multiplayer hoppers (all classes) missing https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst104364_Missing-multiplayer-hoppers.aspx
  • auction house still not available
  • leagues still not available
  • spectator mode still not available

Because of all this, I think you should wait until it’s fixed. We all paid full price for a game that is nowhere near finished.

For simcade you have a choice of whole two games: FM7 and PC2.
Regarding ACR HardVibes’s list, few more problems, more sp oriented:
-homologation almost everywhere. Forza (GT too) was about freedom, not anymore, Freerace is the safeheaven,
-rubber AI,
-trees are worse, than in FM3 (I’m running FM7 on 980ti+7700k, ultra, fullHD),
-in showcases one cannot change anything in a car settings (and I like 75/75% differential:(
The game is not perfect, but not as bad, as some people are painting it.

If you’re a single player person, you’ll like it. You may not like the long load times, random game crashes (i don’t get them often but they do occur), and you may not like the idea of slowly earning every car. There’s around 100 cars that are locked and earning all of them isn’t possible yet.

If you’re multiplayer only, you’ll be disappointed most likely.

You may also not like the clunky menu designs such as homologation leaderboards and test drive mode (where tuning is done) are hidden within free play mode and the game doesn’t track any meaningful stats (if that’s your thing). You’ll have to manually tabulate stats via looking at each of your cars’ history.

The competitive side of the game is virtually non existent due to leagues not being open and very limited amount of tracks in rivals mode.

Also physics are pretty easy and graphics are good but if you’re expecting mind blowing graphics, you won’t see that. Its on par with most games that focus on graphics before anything else.

I’m liking it so far. Playing on Xbox One mostly because I don’t have a super strong PC. The feel of the game when driving is on par with any other Forza but I don’t really nitpick so for me the pros outweigh the cons…

  1. Best Forza game ever for wheel users.
  2. Customizable career race lengths
  3. A feeling of progression where you actually have to earn the cars instead of getting 20 million credits on day 1.
  4. 360 era tracks back
  5. Weather on most tracks. Time of day on most tracks. The effect is very nice but I would like A: More options and customization on this, and B: This option on all tracks.

Some minor bugs for me such as trouble importing vinyl groups from FH3 and FM6 but nothing huge. There is a known bug where drivatar difficulty does not award bonus credits in free play though.

The PC version is much better than the one on Xbox. Just make sure you are not having any issues with Teredo if you are planning to play online. Check out FM6 Apex before you jump on the 7. It’s a great game, but I would avoid online lobbies like a plague. There are far less bugs and glitches on PC in my experience. The biggest bug is the memory leak during customization. I play with GTX1070 and 32GB RAM, have everything maxed out and it runs great.

I don’t have any long load times with a good SSD, which I’m assuming you also have since you got GTX 1080ti.
Overall, I’d buy it again, but if you can wait, I’d do that instead, the price cut and the currently missing features like Auction House, Leagues, and a couple other that will be available by then, will make this a better game deal.

It depends what you want out of the game.

I play on pc and I’m having fun with it.

I have only played single player so far. I have had several CTD and some very long load times, but I just keep plunging away.

I didn’t buy this game for multiplayer, so I couldn’t even comment on it. But I believe what others have said.

So if you want a casual arcade racing game where you can bash through the AI Drivatards, get it.

If you want a good multiplayer racing game, I recommend waiting until the multiplayer gets fixed and leagues come online.

I play offline only so the online compartment does not interest me
I have pc2 and assetto corsa but one to few machines and the other and too simulative
this has many cars and the demo also sounds sound good, with g27 I’m fine
I’m just so many negative reviews of users who have a bit of a brak

Offline the game is ok, Online unless you make lobbies with friends I would not recommend this game. The PC version still has a lot of bugs going on. As for online racing though the online community is cancer at this point with no real policing of Dirty racers you cant actually enjoy good racing. After about 7 online races today I didnt finish above 14 for the sheer fact every time i would make my way through the pack someone would use me as their personal Break or Bumper to get round a turn sending me flying. There is no point system for online players to put them with people of their own skill level.

I have played alot of racing games from older GT to every Forza all the way to I racing. In GT Sport at least players have to go through the courtesy course and you have driver ratings that go up and down based on how you continue to race online there for actually putting you in a group that doesnt play like a 2 year old stole moms car.

Buggest forza Ive ever played. Like.others have said, career and free play are pretty fun. Mp and lb are a mess and buggy.

Do as you wish but I think the game is great with lots of content and stuff to unlock. I win rewards and level up quickly, it’s addicting to play, controls great, and more features like Leagues and Forzathons should be added soon(hopefully). And the elephant in the room, playing it at 4K Native in a few days.

Do as you wish, I’ve just refunded the game. It is unplayable on PC for me.

As long FM7 doesn’t kick you out and CTD, then it’s one hell of a game, really it is!
But sadly i’ve had so many CTD it’s ridiculous, and yet i still keep restarting FM7 to play because it’s fun and great looking. The handling is great as are the cockpit views… I’ve put the camera effect to “simulation” so i can get the maximum realisme effect. Lot’s of people hate the shaking, so did I when I first played FM7 and turned if off, but like two weeks ago I’ve changed it to “simulation” and gotten used to it. Not only does the camera shake, it also leans more while taking corners, for me this brings the game more alive. When put to OFF it’s in fact too static, smoother gameplay and less difficult, yes, but when put to “Simulate” then FM7 really comes to life in any of the views provided by the game.
