I’m talking about the speed, handling, acceleration and braking numbers in the game. Is it just me, or are these things worthless? I realize that momentum plays a huge role in the equation, but how does a car with a 7.7 acceleration rating blow right past a car with an 8.6? I notice it most with handling. I have cars that are at 4.6 and handle better than cars that are like 5.4. I’ve been trying to adjust some of my tunes for each track and use these numbers as at least a little bit of a guide during the build process, but they never even seem to be close to what they actually are on the track.
I dont worry about stats at all except for the first build. After that i just drive the car and if my tune cant get it then i know there are things on the car that just dont work with it. So now its just about de-stating the car normally and build the car so it feels good.
Accel is tied in with speed. A car with 5.0 speed/8.5 accel will accelerate slower than a car with 6.5 speed/8.3 accel. Handling is based off lateral G’s instead of grip or feel. Some times stats just dont translate onthe track.
those are for untuned cars. once you go into tuning you can change the car drastically and the ratings wont change.
stats mean nothing. SHALB is worthless.
S and B have a lttle bit of value. Maybe 100 pesos. A is usually just wrong. I ignore L. H is so so but doesn’t tell the whole story. Some cars with mid fives stick like snot. Others try out for the ice-capades at every turn. You have to buy it, build it and drive it to get any real idea.
Partly tuning and partly due to upgrades placed on the car. For whatever reason some cars are very responsive with less. It’s also worth noting that front and rear downforce and some transmission upgrades make the stats look horrible when they actually aren’t.
