Benchmark Accuracy

Hi Guys,

I was wondering how Accurate is the Benchmark figures in the left column of the tuning window. Is this something we should be going by when tuning?

I don’t use the benchmark at all. 0-100 means nothing considering you only go 0-100 hopefully just once in a race. 60-120 if it was in the game I would probably use that more then anything else

you can get 60-100

I ALWAYS look at my bench numbers. It helps you adjust your brake bias to perfection, which over base will make multiple tenths on even small tracks. Look at the top speed on a full downforce setup while changing your final gear helps you to know the exact speed it will reach without having to top it out yourself. Looking at the lateral Gs helps when making ride height and downforce adjustments alot. If you know your car is slightly too loose in the rear but you don’t want to lose much speed at all, click it up until it hits the next .01 lats. Taking your car on the track is the most important but if you don’t use both, it’ll never be as good as it can be.

.
Nothing beats testing and feeling the car, independent of the benchmark data on screen. Yet, every once in awhile, I will look at difference between 0-100 and 0-60 to better understand my 6-100 acceleration to compare builds/tunes. Top speed will be off when you run the cars at Mulsanne around 3-6 mph is what I have encountered on many cars.

One should use Benchmark numbers as a general GUIDELINE/REFERENCE. It is not very useful for tuning.

“Benchmark Accuracy”

Its not.
