Bug Info: The in-game anisotropic filtering setting doesn’t work as it should. The difference between setting it Low or High is negligible, and even on High, textures at an angle or a distance are very blurry. It also seems to interact with Environment Texture quality setting, with the problem being less bad, but still quite visible with the Extreme setting.
Platform: Steam
Edition: Ultimate
PC GPU: AMD RX 6800 XT (16GB)
Settings: Everything high to extreme, no MSAA or FXAA, TAA on.
Attempted fixes: AMD Adrenalin’s related settings have no effect. Nvidia users can force AF from Nvidia control panel.
Content Update: The issue has existed from launch.
With the setting on low:
With the setting on high:
While the quality has improved, it still doesn’t look quite right. While even 16x sampling AF has limits, this seems more like 4x.
Extra note: “High” should most likely correspond to 16x sample count, but seemingly doesn’t.
