There are already IMSA cars and tracks in Forza 7 just as there has been in previous Forza games, there are already loads of GT and Prototype cars that are very similar if not the same as the IMSA versions and most of the tracks are already in the game.
I wonder how much this is going to cost? No point in having DLC car packs full of IMSA variants of existing cars especially the people who already have the season pass.
That is some serious good news !!
Discovered the IMSA not a long time ago.Really good races, love the divisions.
Let us hope for some mega pack with tracks, cars, driver gear and other things !!
It can bring only good things to Forza , i hope also that some other things are in preparation, regarding dlc or free stuff.
Remember when FM7 was announcing cars and used this photo to run their American cars announcement and people thought that really looks like the straight at Mid-Ohio being run in the opposite direction? Well IMSA is headed back there next weekend so maybe we can get some good news for May soon.
I think it was confirmed that was sebring, that picture with the Shelby. But back to the main topic, the season pass is up and we still have a lack of modern imsa cars so I’m hoping we are to have an expansion for next month.
I thought maybe Road America but there are trees beyond the fences there so doesn’t really fit. Sebring has some catch fencing like that at various places but not on long back straight and most importantly the the walls are blue/white not solid grey concrete like this. I know it could be a special or early build of game that differed from final shipped version but would like to know how or where it was confirmed.
When T10 introduced their partnership with IMSA for FM7 I had high hopes. Now coming up on a year in it’s still not materializing as I believe it could of. Yes we’ve got a good selection of the newer(not necessarily newest) cars that compete in IMSAs marquee series the Weathertech series and definitely a small selection of cars from their history. But it could be soooo much better. Now with what seems to be(as we’ve been told) a game that all the main development team is still working on it would be nice to see a more of an integration of IMSA into the game.
There is so many things that could be added.
A: yes more cars always more cars!!!
Two: more tracks, shoot three more and you would have IMSAs full lineup; Mid-Ohio Sportscar course, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and of course the wonderful Belle Isle Road Course(not exactly a wonderful course but it’s a challenge for sure and my home town IMSA race).
Point C: the IMSA Continental Series, many don’t know of this series but it’s a support series with some really good race cars and racing.
Short story long T10 and IMSA should UTILIZE this partnership to its fullest it could help bot entities out BIG TIME!!!
I want something like this just as much as you do, believe that. But the guy above me is correct and it’s unfortunate, if they can’t get licensing then things just can’t make it’s way into this game sadly. I would hope they can at least try though to get at least one if the tracks, preferably Mid-Ohio with a booster pack of 7 imsa cars including several lmp2 additions since that class ( Forza p2) could definitely use some more additions. We will just have to wait, pray and see.
I’ll add that I just finished tallying the FM7 Track Wishlists and will publish a thread on the info this weekend or Monday. Mid-Ohio is the 9th most requested track (top among IMSA tracks). Turn 10 is already aware of the requests, it’s just that Wishlisting isn’t the endall of how things are developed.
A game with a partnership with IMSA sounds exciting until you’re two years into the game and you didn’t get at least 1/3 of the current cars in IMSA … sorry I meant 1/10 of the cars sorry for the under exaggeration idk what is was thinking and for the classic IMSA you’ve released you haven’t made an online Lobby just for that. There’s no more Forza Le Mans … things have gotten lazy and you just grouped an entire group of cars in Forza GT when I count at least 6 different actual car classes that the cars should be in:
GTLM
GT1
GT3
GT4
GT500
The sounds are getting worse and this has become an arcade game, plus the unfulfilling-blatant promises hurt for example having an actual pit crew … I rather Forza than any other Car Game but it’s honestly getting worse
I was just looking back today at forza 4’s car list and saw just how many IMSA and plain race cars we had back then, good ones at that. Then looking at forza 7 and seeing yeah we have a ton of race cars in here too but theres so many holes to fill in and nothing really current except for a couple of newer GTLM cars. One example is GT1 class, we had so many back then and now all we have is the Aston Martin which is lonely. It bothers me that they didnt bring back just a few of its rivals like the C6.R, the viper GTSR, the Maserati mc 12, and the saleen S7R. There were a couple more too like the koenigsegg ccgt, the pagani zonda GR, and the C5.R. Then theres the prototypes which is where the biggest hole lies. They brought back a few from old games like the Porsche RS spider, the Chevy FLM, and the Mazda b09 but what about the Aston lola, the Acura arx 02 and 03, Peugeot 905, and then the nice assortment of lmp900 cars we used to have. The lmp900 class we have now is severely depleted only containing the BMW v12 LmR and the Ferrari 333SP. And to go along with your point they need to name and group these divisions like their real life counterparts like GTLM, GT1, GT2, LMP900, GROUP C etc… they did it for forza 6.
I really don’t know what T10s plan was with an IMSA partnership other than plain advertising. They haven’t made much of an attempt to get the full roster of cars in the game. We still don’t have any of the DPi’s in the game, no LMP2, Ferrari GTLM, and none of the GTD cars. On top of that, I figured they would add something in line of the Continental Tire series with some GT4 stuff. I’d expect a lot more from an IMSA partnership, but it feels like they don’t particularly care about the motorsports side of things anymore.
