IMSA Mazda RX7 needs a sound patch

I was so happy when The IMSA RX7 GTO was released in a DLC. It simply was one of the two only cars I was hoping to see in Forza.
But… What kind of noise is that? Did they record the sound out of a lawn mower?

That's how it's supposed to sound like:

It’s supposed to be a 13J rotary engine and sound closer to the noise of a 787B (that Forza recreated pretty well IMO) than the one of a remote airplane.
Have pity T10… Patch it.

The worst is that this is not the only Badj. The Pc games have the most accurate audio to the actual race cars.

Apart from the actual engine/exhaust notes, notice the real life car’s transmission whine and gear change sounds. The ‘elasticity’ of the driveline, the driveline flex, the chassis flex, the engine loading and compression…etc is what makes a race car or modified car sound amazing. Most of that is missing in Forza and its what makes the cars sound ‘naked’ in the game if you know what I mean.

Granted, the audio department can only do so much if the physics department isn’t up to scratch because the audio is certainly tied into the physics when the aforementioned is concerned…

Edit: There is one option Turn 10 can take in order for the cars to sound better at least where shifting is concerned is to introduce an ‘auto throttle blip’ option on the downshifts as seen in other PC sims. For guys with no wheels, this would be invaluable not only for rpm control…but it would also sound great lol!

Rev matching is something that is extremely easy to do with a controller in Forza 6. All you have to do is set your clutch to the A button and swap your gear up and down buttons. Then all you have to do is press A+B+Right trigger all together and you have properly rev matched your down shift. Enjoy!

I sincerely hope T10 redo their audio design and strategy for future Forza games. F4 and 5 had a lot of good things going for them, almost none of which made their way to F6, let alone getting improvements.

Since we’re on the subject of patching engine sounds, the SLS and F-type could really use one, including the P1, LaF and F40 just to name a few. I absolutely hate to admit this but the engines sound a bit fake and “videogame-like” compared to the actual cars.

I do not blame the OP at all for calling that a lawn mower sound - many engine sounds in F6 got the short end and they sound too basic and linear - the thrill and visceral characters of these exciting cars that was in F4 and 5 is gone.
