Hey
Could there be an improvement to reflections on the body and interior of cars? They’re better than they were at launch, but there can often be an issue with low reflection quality, refresh rate, and especially with a low LOD so the reflections of the foliage (or whatever is behind) on the rear in chase cam for example will just disappear at a not very far distance, which is really immersion breaking. There is also a case of interior reflections looking jarring by being incorrect. The more realistic, the better!
I play on Series X, Performance mode. Just thinking, without RT peformance cost being a concern in this mode these reflections should absolutely trounce FM7! Especially with how powerful the Series X is.
One of the most important parts of the graphic judgment is indeed the gloss/reflection of the car’s surface. In FM, Normal Colors basically use a single color without shades, which is why Normal Colors have a dull and plastic effect. That’s why I always avoid them. I noticed that there are some Manufacturer Colors in the game that give the cars a much more realistic look. Here are one example,
this is the original (Awesome!) Verde Ithaca color from Lamborghini in the game:
These rare (not all!) Manufacturer Colors are multi-toned and preset by the creators. A few…
However, I also noticed that with the game’s current Paint set, you can also make much more realistic colors. To do this, you have to paint the car with the Two-Tone Polished colors in the Paint menu. However, it is even better if we then apply several layers of semi-transparent normal colors to this shiny surface. An example of this.
Normal yellow color:
Special, better toned yellow color with layers:
A great effect can be achieved, but each car must be repainted separately in several layers. I voted for this thread and please vote as many as possible so that all of this is more easily available in the game, for example with such a complete color palette, thus giving the cars more beautiful and realistic surfaces!

It confuses me that we have to mess about with these when Turn 10 said they used a spectrometer to ensure these paints produce colour accurately with light
