While racing in the lambo leauge earlier people where useing tunes in a supposedly stock spec only leauge. I tried to load a stock tune, said it was illegal. So what’s going on? Are these people cheating or what. Join any lambo leauge lobby and you will see people useing tunes.
Not sure about using other tunes… But I was able to go to test drive and turn down the tire pressure and then enter that same car into the league races… I don’t know what else you can change but dropping 2.5psi from the tires sure seemed to make a bit of a difference.
Edited to add: Although when I enter the car it does bring up a thing saying car should be upgraded or whatever… I just hit race anyways so not sure if that resets back to default… I’m honestly not a great enough driver to tell the difference lol
I have seen that message too, many times. I’ve tried to load a different setup, knowing it wouldn’t work as it’s a spec league. With your tire pressures down after test driving/tuning, it should stay the same throughout, until you change that setup again later.
There are two possible reasons why that message pops up… I’m not sure as I’m not a T10 employee, but it would seem like the lobbies are either supposed to me R900 max rating on the cars, or they forgot to put the coding into the lobbies for it being a spec lobby. I’m not sure, just speculation, but that’s why I think that annoying message pops up everytime you pick a different car (I have 3 #14 Lambo ST’s each with a different paint job).
With rivals you cant tune but with leagues it looks like you can tune but you cant upgrade at all since you are able to use a lambo from out of your garage…still stock though
The game otions when in trofeo league say forced no upgrades, no tune. (Paraphrased)
So how could a tune be applied (I would love to apply a stock upgrade tune to the car especially the night and wet tracks)
Race cars have adjustable parts even when they are stock with no upgrades. Maybe try tuning the car in test drive or in the tuning area but don’t save or name the tune. Just a theory. I would like to know if this is what people are doing because I want to race in the leagues starting week 4 and being able to tune the car will be very helpful.
I personally don’t think a tune can be applied. I’m going to test with telemetry. The options do not allow it in game settings of the lobby. (That doesn’t mean there is a glitch though)
I was accused of flying and in a tune at Road America (the variant that uses normal start/finish straight and then goes straight though at turn 5. Back to the start finish
All that happened was I had a great start hitting my marks, carrying speed and getting great exits. I started in first so now I’m good and away hotlapping and everyone else is being held up and not getting good exits do to traffic, the all too normal racing incidents etc. RevR Mel caught me so clearly the great driver that can hit their marks and get free will look like they have done something- which they have its just driving ability. If I had been more consistent at hitting my marks. I would have been in first. As it was Mel was so he was first and I was 2nd
If you get held up on an exit because a car in front of you and the car behind you .2 tenths is able to get a good exit not lift they are going to pass you. You often have to give some space to get passed unless the person infront of you has a mistep
Here’s what I think is happening:
Someone with a tuned Gallardo has chosen it in Select Car and then agreed with the dialog that makes it stock, but the game is still listing the tune on the lobby screen.
I noticed that my gamer tag shows a tune next to it, but the tune it’s listing has a PI of 877 or something, not the 816 shown in the lobby.
I tuned every aspect of the car while not applying any upgrades and was able to use it in the league. Never tried downloading someone else’s tune to use. My understanding is stock only means no upgrades, I’ve raced other stock only competitions where I changed tire pressure, becuase that was the only adjustment I could make on the stock parts.
Not sure why it wouldn’t let you use one of the tunes you downloaded from the lobby. That is strange.
Depends on how lobby is set up is all king L.
The lobby is set up to force stock upgrades AND tunes under overrides in game options. So if there is tuning of stock parts then it’s a glitch or bug as it shouldn’t be allowed.
if they wanted to allow tuning of stock parts - you would mark this no and under car restrictions select specific car allowed and then allow upgrades no (this now forces stock car (no parts can be added) but would allow tire pressure changes and what ever is tunable in the car.
I jumped in lobby to see setting again so I wasn’t speaking out my other end.
I’m going to take stock car and lower tire pressures see it on telem.
Then hop in a lobby and switch telemetry in and see if it’s stick tp or what I set. But again the game restrictions on overrides tab states stock tune. So we shouldn’t be able to
I assume that those that see tunes are the cars had tunes and they are removed. I have DVRs of a D CLASS Lexus SC. Car running in the league, and also a E class “DLC Car” showed as a VW Jetta hatchback something. Also a screen sho of Simone’s paint was a viper in the picture off to the side and there were only lambos in the lobby and the picture of paint on viper said it was the #14 lambo. So clearly some wierd stuff was going on. But in all the cases I didn’t feel like anyone had an advantage over me other then driver skill.
I have done some racing in this league since my last post, and found out something. I have 4 different Super Trofeo’s. Each with a different setup, with no upgrades at all. I can run any of them in the league. The key is no upgrades. My setups may not be very good, but I’ve won 1 race with one, and finish decent in other races. I lucked out in the one I won. But setups do help. That’s why, if you’re using a default setup, you see some guys 5,000-6,000 ft ahead of you. They’re most likely using tunes, and not ones you can download. I haven’t found a setup yet, with default upgrades, that I could use in the league.
Just letting the community know, if you don’t know, that you CAN tune your car for the league. I raced all of season 1 with default setups. It wasn’t until the Watkins Glen rivals that I used a tune, then I decided to try that car at Watkins Glen in the league (Season 2), and was able to.
Are the gears adjustable? Theres an easy way to tell if it carries over…
Changed my tires from default settings (30) to 28 PSI in the tuning screen, brought up the telemetry at the start of a race and seen that my tires were back to their default tire pressure settings. If their is a way to load your own setup I would really like to know, because I don’t like the default setup very much lol.
Man you guys don’t get it. If your useing a tune in the lambo league, your cheating. It’s a spec series, no tunes allowed… says so in your rules for the lambo leauge. Wish a mod would pay attention to this matter.
Spec series can still change things, I’ve been using a stock tune but if the says you cannot tune the stock Lamborghini then why can’t you tune it?
Just to be clear. I don’t think any of us here are trying to get around the rules… I raced all of week 1 without trying to change a thing. After seeing countless numbers of “Tuned By” in the lobbies this week it led me to believe that although no upgrades were allowed you were allowed to tune whatever is adjustable on the stock car. Nobody in here is glitching the system. If I lower tire pressures in free play and that just so happens to carry over to the league lobbies thats an issue in game. Not anything that we should get punished for.
Just seen someone with a tune by BAM Myst
I think the tune by seen in the lobbies is a glitch, just like paint issues, just like me seeing an E class “DLC car” and D class Lexus running in the series. I’ve not been able to have the tune of stock upgrades come into the lobby with me. I reduce the tire pressures and adjusted the gearing neither worked.
I was only testing to see if there is glitch allowing tunes. not running tunes deliberately as the Game Rules under overides clearly should prevent any tuning of stock parts.
So what I think is happening is if you have the car most have it tuned- most persons don’t run stock cars with stock tunes and when the lobby enforces the rules it still shows that BAM myst tune is on the car in the lobby but in all actuality the tune is removed.
I’ve seen no evidence at all in Friday night lobby, Sat early morning lobby or the Saturday night lobby of anyone actually using a tune. I did see persons that were better then me, but at no point did I think they had a tune on the car. Gearing and aero, and a bit more grip would be nice and you would be able to see aero, and gearing fairly easily while following some one with a tuned car. The only evidence I’ve seen is in the lobby it says the person had a tune - but also see a paint as viper picture instead of a lambo, so just because the lobby says something doesn’t make it true.
Cali, have you looked at the telemetry while in the lobby to see if the starting TP was actually lower? It didn’t work for me, so I am thinking its not happening.
— Again I am playing with stock tune. And Only tested to see if a tune could be applied and my results were it could not. I did this sunday after reading this thread.
I have not checked telemetry after messing with tire pressures once I enter the league lobby. I wouldn’t doubt that it goes back to stock, nor do I have any issues if it does lol. I think you’re on to it that it’s just a display glitch. I just wanted to make it abundantly clear that I in no way am trying to get around the system or glitching the system into having a tune and trying to get an advantage. Although some people seem to think we need to be banned…
It most likely isn’t happening and like I stated in a previous post… I’m not a good enough driver to be able to tell the difference between 2PSI anyways lol
I raced with you. You most certainly are good enough. If you lowered it 2 after running it you would definately notice the difference.
And I’m not sure any but a smallest majority would be able to tell what the actual Tire pressures are with out telemetry. We probably could say we would like to reduce or increase by feel but tell what it is. Dunno if many could (almost sure that someone will say they can after typing this though)
