Yes, several.

Destiny does this.

Buy it for PS3/X360 and you get it free on X1/PS4. AND your progress carries over too.

(Digital purchase required)

But, Horizon 2, does not.

wow are you serious , of course not

You’re thinking of Destiny. Atleast, that’s the only game I know that’ll let you buy the digital 360 version, then get the digital Xbox One Version and keep both.

I thought Call of Duty Ghosts also allowed it, but only for a limited time.

They’re doing a deal with Call of Duty Advanced Warfare as well that will let you do it through March 15th.

Of course, then you’ll have to play Call of Duty, and I personally don’t have much interested in doing that.

It’s a different game from a different developer on a different system.

Trade in the 360 version and you might get a few bucks off.

I bought the 2014 Model Year car can I come back and get the 2015 version without paying for it?

I haven’t heard anything about this, so I doubt it. The games have that offered this, such as CoD aren’t worth very much anymore to begin with, and they’re identical on each console. Forza Horizon 2 is very dissimilar between the two consoles so it probably won’t happen. I’d trade in the X360 version if you’re going for the Xbox One copy. If you do own both consoles, in the future I suggest getting the X1 game right away anyways.

Destiny was published by the same developer on both generations of console, with the same features, playability and options (re. guns, armour etc).

Horizon 2 on the 360 and the ONE is from different developers, so is it fair to pay Sumo for the game and then expect Playground to give your their work for free?

Horizon 2 on the 360 and the ONE includes different features, such as different achievements, activities, challenges and track layouts, so how would leaderboard progress and save files carry over. That’s not to mention design and vinyl limitations.

Horizon 2 on the 360 and ONE also have different car lists, so how can you expect a garage to transfer over?

In principle yes, it would be nice for such a system to exist, but then everyone would have bought the 360 version (which retailed for £10 less here in the UK at release) and expected a free upgrade leaving the developer out of pocket.
