First, I started with FM6, so my comparisons will be mostly with that game. Also, in both that game and the current one, I bought the full ultimate edition.
Coming from FM6, I think a few things changed that could have used more explination. Like the car collector tier system, car tuning in career mode, and how we are matched for PvP.
On the basic level, the tier system makes sense, but when the tiers seemed to go beyond where you have available cars, I thought I was getting access to one prototype and experimental cars and the like. No such luck, you just get cars for cheaper when leveling. Or when you open a tier and many cars in the tier are still locked. Why are they even in the tier, then?
Another thing was the confusion of going in to career mode, buying a car and having it perform amazingly, then taking the same car into PvP and it slides all over the track, and otherwise misbehaves.I seemed odd I would lose the tune I bought the car with.
I’ve done most of the Career mode and jumped over the PvP… am I building to a class, or do I build to my taste and get matched with similar PI? I found the building to PI in FM6 pretty intuitive, still not sure how the new system works.
Speaking of building to class, I greatly miss the ABC’S. i have had just a couple PvP races which consisted of being punted in most corners. That is why I loved the ABC’S, as it it was multi-class and about good clean passing and I encountered far fewer rammers.
Also, one thing I wish you had as a customer loyalty payback would be carrying over our exist cars, or at least giving us a discount on getting them back.
Going back to the rammers, mind you I’ve only been in a couple PvP races, but the ramming seems as bad as it ever was. Has anything been done to encourage clean racing?
And lastly, FH3 gave me hope that we might get dirty track and/or rally racing. We have the cars for both in game, FM7, will we ever get to do dirt tracks, or someday wild extreme rallies like the Paris To Dakkar or 1000 Mille Miglia?
