I must say that Forza Horizon 5 has had a terrible beginning but now I see actual effort in the content that has been made and if Forza Horizon 6 doesnt remove hundreds of vehicles and makes them festival playlist rewards but rather continue with most of the car roster and mostly new to Forza cars and returning cars that havent been featured since older Forza games then i think that Forza Horizon 6 will be awesome maybe Mike Brown was the reason the game was bad
Well, it will most certainly “die” at some point because of the vehicle, music, and sponsor licenses. Any piece of media with either of those will always have a timed shelf life.
As for Horizon 6 not removing a bunch of cars, one would hope that wouldn’t happen again, but pretty much every Forza game (talking about both Horizon and Motorsport here) has usually removed a good chunk of its car list for one reason or another between sequels. It’ll most certainly happen again. One can only hope though that they cut cars that very few will probably miss (looking at you, Extreme E).
Ok but player wise until the next game comes I think it will still be popular like now
When Forza Horizon 4 launched it only lost like 60 cars or so so I think that they can do it like with Horizon 4 those cars were mostly lost licenses so there is a reason why they were gone
today, they disappear to reappear over time as “new exclusive content”
that’s how it works, it makes a game last for several years so the next opuses will continue in this direction
You do realise that NO ONE wants this right
The best live service content in my opinion is adding new cars every month as well as cars from older forza games like the Altezza which didnt appear as much as a Renault they did this with Forza Horizon 4 and it worked
It’s looking much more likely to have a better shelf life than the failing miserably Forza Motorsport. I made plenty of excuses for FM but I’m pretty much done with it. The penalty system is an absolute failure. The car leveling system is a complete waste of time and creates unnecessary grinding. They didn’t deliver a finished product and it’s embarrassing bad for something that took so long and was supposedly “built from the ground up”.
Everything @TonyKartRcr said about FM is spot on. So why do I still play it over FH5?
I came back to FH5 to get the new Pagani and was reminded of just how boring this game has gotten. It’s nothing more than just another forced grind just like FM. And two event labs were absolutely horrible.
FM8 is everything Tony said it is. But the one he didn’t mention is that it’s new, sort of. It’s kinda like a different take on FM7. A sideways grade if you want. It certainly isn’t an upgrade but a different way of playing FM7.
No, FH5 and FM8 are dead as they stand if they continue down their respective paths. If FH6 and FM9 turn back to the roots of forza the franchise will survive if not, it could be time for another studio to pick up the pieces and rebuild the kingdom.
Extreme E will definitely not come back. Extreme H on the other hand, probably will.
Now that a new Game Mode will be announced at Gamescom there will be new life into the game and there will be a new ingame Partnership
