On a positive note I just had 3 nice races and achieved a new skill high of 4614. My 3 person group rating was 4975 thanks to a skilled friend. On Watkins I came in 3rd in the Audi, 4th on a very wet Suzuka and another 4th on Homestead in the Dodge Viper. My skilled friend left for Homestead and the quality noticeably dropped. We were still around 4500 as a 2 person group but a lot of taking each other out went on around me. I was pushed off as well on the kink but managed a decent recovery. I tried to save the Watkins replay but alas it still would not play back. The racing felt great and I managed zero melts or penalties. When things work as they should this game shows its great potential. I hope everything gets ironed out and I just wanted to add a positive post in all this negativity. I’m not ignoring the flaws, there are many but this can be a great game, we just need to be patient. It’s not ideal but that’s life. Patience is a virtue they say. It’s not 6 yrs first off. We had a pandemic so subtract 2-3 years right there. People were working from home and that is not the same as collaborating in an office environment. Anyway I hope I have more great races and that this game will indeed find a way to succeed. That’s right I do not want a refund.
Loving the positivity, like you I am looking at the positives in the game and also agree with a little patience this game will be awesome
So far Spec Events are exactly what I wanted. I just hope they get a little creative with the categories. Time will tell.
Balancing seems to be off a bit but that can work itself out in time if it’s monitored.
You can be patient but we will make up our own minds Mr.
I wonder how codemasters made DR3 and selling a stable and improved game at 1/3rd the price.
I believe they did this by focusing on something other then stealing money.
Since we got the radar, I actually started playing more again. It is such a necessity to know where other cars are around you, I’m actually having a good time now and my driver ratings are stable as I can avoid contact so easily! The new GT separation is great, I hope in future they improve it further when there are new cars coming.
I’ve had my fair share of great races regardless of final result, especially in Forza GT (2/3) and Forza TC. Those are the lobbies that I visit the most. I wish there was a way to “congratulate” a player you had good battles with or was just flatout faster but very fair, in the hopes of facing similar players again.
It would be a nice feature if the was a “follow racer” option. That would be a criteria in matchmaking. Coupled with a “ban racer” or “not follow racer” feature that would limit matchmaking.
And maybe even an algorithm in lobbies where if there are multiple racers with the same not follow racer selected that racer will get automatically kicked from the lobby before the race starts.
I’d also think if a racer gets a not follow tag he should also get an automated message from the tagging racer so there is a chance to ask why and right the situation.
These would be different tags than the friends list following type of following. These would just be specific to racing and matchmaking within forza.
Kinda like the “do you want to form a convoy” feature in Horizon after finishing a MP race/series
I don’t know, I could never get those to work right. But the idea is there.
I’m you block someone Forza will not match make you with that person. Maybe if you went in with a friend and they could initiated the matchmaking but I’m not sure. It’s more than a comms block. This is a double edged sword. You block too many and it may limit your matchmaking.
