I know I am by no means a fast driver but I just spent close to 25 tries doing the Showcase with this car on Suzuka. I finally had to change the shifting to my wheel paddles instead of my shifter, lower the AI from +60% to New Racer to FINALLY beat this 1 lap race. Geez!

I sympathize - 30+ attempts with all manner of options and I still can’t get first

It’s Front-Wheel drive, which requires a different driving style.
You can’t accelerate and turn well at the same time as the front wheels are trying to do both. You need to ease off the throttle when turning in order to take those corners at a decent speed.

I was starting to figure that out there at the end. Just Way Glad I am past that one. I am trying to clear all the Showcases as I am getting real close to Tier 11 and it looks like the quickest way to get the needed points.
Glad I’m not the only 1 that struggled with this car. It’s got crazy oversteer and the wheel spin us very hard to control putting tcs on makes it bog.
Yeah, I usually prefer FWD cars, but that one was just a pain in the backside.
Yeah, done that showcase event and I’ll never going to use that car again. Was hoping it would be easier to drive then it was in FM6, but it almost seems it got even worse.

I only ever drive cockpit view. For the Nismo if I stuck with that principle I would still be there trying. In the camera view setting, there is one that shows the nose of the car only with a short section of the guards either side. it is easy from that angle.
Sure it’s hard to master, but that car is a blazingly fast monster when used right!
Those one lap passing showcase events where you have a delayed start? Set the AI to New Racer. You’ll barely make it. Remember the AI has a straight line speed boost. And don’t be afraid to turn on all the assists - even friction assist for this one (don’t forget to turn it off afterward) - the goal is winning the car. It’s only one lap. The AI cheats like mad. They’ve turned this type of event into a joyless grind. These events can be like beating your head against a wall. It feels so good when you stop.

Don´t make me remember this one. I also reduced AI to lowest level possible. And I had to be very very cautious when accelerating. (And yes - I did rewind many many times.) What a relief when I had this done.
I turned DOR on my wheel to 330 and got it done,car handles like trash!!!
Didn’t really have a problem with it. First go as far as I recall. Car didn’t seem to handle too badly.
First try club ! But I get your point. The handling is… Different I must say.
Kind of glad to see I was not alone in this one. I am ranking this car right up the with the Rolls Royce Wraith (remember that one) as cars High On The List of cars I will never drive again.
Lol wait til you have to do the Porsche one at road atl. That one took me a while.
I always drive the Nissan as if I’m saving fuel, lift and coast every time mid corner and short shift on exit.

The problem with the Nissan is that they have given it the power to simulate the hybrid system but not made it 4WD like it should be. It should be about 550bhp through the front wheels with out the hybrid system or 750bhp through all 4 wheels like the other poorly simulated P1 Hybrid cars. Its odd they chose to give it the hybrid power but not the drive, I know the real car never ran with the hybrid but the real car never had to put 700bhp+ through the front wheels.
On a side note, even if Nissan turned up with a 919 or R18 copy, the car would have been a failure too. It wasn’t the front wheel drive bias or front engine that caused that car to fail contrary to popular belief, it was suspension, hybrid and poor QA of the tub that were its downfall.
