Good evening/morning fellow Forza players! With Forza 6 now safely in my possession and installed, I figured I’d better make some pictures to get the ball rolling on taking photos and improving in my skill to match my Halo levels of Screenshots. After a bit of experience in Horizon 2 and FM5, it’s time to get more into it all!
So starting fresh with a new game, the first car I bought for Career mode was a Ford Capri RS3100. Didn’t take long before I got the camera out in the wet at Sebring:
After that I managed to get my old paints from FM5 and Horizon 2 and put back on the old paintjob I made for the Capri based on my dad’s Mk III Capri on the front drive:
After advancing from that theme of racing, I took on some Sport Coupe fun in a Nissan 370Z and put on a fresh paintjob. Then after Career, a little break in some other vehicles, including my newly souped-up F100::
And that’s it from me for the moment! Apologies if I swamped you with the initial batch, hopefully they’re relatively decent in quality. Any critiques/comments etc are most welcomed!
More will come soon, once I get some more racing in and earn some fresh cars to play with and race along, including saving up for a Saleen S7 to run in the Hot Wheels die-cast livery I have in my possession.
Thanks Pebb! Was really happy with the outcome of that one after trying to give it that 1970s appearance with the picture.
Since then, I managed to get a Nissan GTR Black Edition and immediately got my old simple racing stripe livery from FM5 to give it a run around on the Airfield track. A little experimentation was had with some action shots and a little monochrome, resulting in the following pieces:
Brightly Run:
Slanted Speed:
Contrasted GTR:
Still Nissan:
Impact!:
Struck Tyre:
B+W GTR Smoke:
And finally one bonus pic I forgot to share earlier this week, running with my souped up F100:
F100 B+W Push:
And that’s it from me for tonight. I’ll be off to EGX tomorrow for the weekend here in the UK, so until then!
Thanks Viper! Had a lot of fun racing in the wet at night in Le Mans with that car and messing with the Photo Settings later!
After returning back form the Eurogamer Expo (EGX) here in the UK, I got my Forza 6 in gear and decided to give my Jag F-Type R a new lick of paint (under Solar Stripe if anyone wants to own it for some reason) and stick it through the Reverse track of Rio, messing with a few experiments to add to the motion or the colour in each shot:
Grid Drift:
Rio Solar Run:
Active Monodrift:
Black Cat Drift:
Jag Start:
Tunneled Jag:
Tailight F:
++++++
And that is it from me once again! Hope there’s some decent ones in there worth a second glance.
Now to decide on what to play with next in my Garage…
This past week I focused on some photos for the Competition going on here regarding Unicorn cars (although I have no idea why they are referred to as Unicorn cars, if anyone can explain I’d appreciate it muchly). Out of all the options I went a little retro and broke out the Lotus Elan and rolled her out onto a soaking wet Spa Francomchamps track, messing with reflections and other nonsense:
And this was my submission piece in the end:
After all that nonsense, I finally finished the last touch for a paintjob of mine, based off of this Hot Wheels car I bought as a kid in 2005 by adding the Saleen text logo and then sticking it out into the night of Daytona (The livery is under “HW Saleen S7” if you would like it for your own for some reason or other.):
Really happy with the last two especially, the Ferris Wheel’s been a popular picture item I’ve noticed and I can definitely see why!
Hope you guys enjoyed them! I’ll have some Lotus Elise 1 photos coming up next sometime this week!
Yep it’s a happy happy Elan in the rain! Was really pleased in managing to pull that reflection shot off so cleanly.
Thanks for the compliment on the Saleen shot too! Was a slight booboo when I focused on the wrong point and made that piece. Couldn’t say no to taking the shot though.
Got a few more coming in shortly tonight, including some Elise '99 shots and maybe some from the new DLC pack…
5 days past and a new DLC dropped by! Been a fun week when I have played Forza 6, messing initially with my Lotus Elise 1999 edition in Career and my first action with the DLC was creating a livery for the Caparo T1 and sticking her in a night race.
With my Elise, I went for a muted look despite the deep orange colour of the car and then going for the standard style out in the wet, making these pieces:
The muted shot I am really happy with, took a bit of time getting the look just right with the sepia and the wet.
After that, onto the Caparo T1 and a little night fun, including finally getting a star shot in game:
That last one is definitely my favourite from the small set, so much so I’m giving it a whirl for Photocomp5 to see if the guys and gals at turn 10 also like it.
And that’s it for now. Thanks for checking in and looking folks! More to come soon, just need to decide on what to play with next… any ideas?
Thank you both for the compliments (and an extra thanks to The Snooty One for adding me as a friend on XBL)! I am going to have to try and get a few more night sky pieces in the future with some other cars I think…
Since then though, I decided to experiment a little more with exposure and also some black and white pieces, making these duo-sets with the Ferrari California and the Aston Martin Vantage:
The rear shot is the one I am happiest with from that, finding that tunnel beneath the grandstand in Yas Marina definitely paid off after braking far too late in a race… Funny how that goes with discoveries.
And that is all once again from me for the moment. I do still need to work on making my pieces for the Ford vs Ferrari Le Mans competition, so those will appear in this thread at some point soon hopefully.
Thank you both! I am tempted to Photoshop a title on it, to make it look like an Advertisement or a magazine article. Hmmm ideas, ideas…
Since that fine evening in Yas Marina and Monza, I decided that the Forza McLaren P1 I had in my possession deserved a run or two, experimenting with its neutral metallic grey colour plus its shape and lighting on Brands Hatch in the typically British Weather, plus a run in Prague to play in the tunnel:
Not to sure out of the last two I like more, I think one has been submitted to Photocomp6 so we’ll see if T10 like it as well…
Last one is a piece I’m pretty proud of. Trying to get the motion and angle right with the railings was a fun challenge.
As one last little bonus bunch I did also run a 90s BMW M3 in the darkness to make it look as menacing as possible, as there are a number of cars that can exude utter menace in black, this most certainly is one of them for me.
And then a little bit of fun in Sebring’s dusk, I hadn’t noticed I caught the plane an d helicopter in the background, a nice little surprise:
And that is it for now folks! Next on my list is the Ford GT40 MkII and Ferrari 330 for the Le Mans challenge, if I do not get distracted with other shiny vehicles…
Until next time and thank you once again for stopping by!
