These cars have no class division, they don’t fit into a category like track toys because they would completely out class everything else like the KTM XBOW, but aren’t fast enough to coincide with the LMP cars.
Which – along with all the other cars with this affliction – is a COLOSSAL misstep by T10. It’s actually really quite frustrating for someone like me, who doesn’t care abut MP, and likely never will.
I just do not see the logic to this move by the devs. What’s the point?
I’m with you on this one mate. I’ve only “jumped in” a few times, when most of the normal world is asleep, and even then it was very scary indeed.
And having so many great cars that sit smack in the middle of classes in stock form, or, when upgraded, they jump into the next class on the shallow end of the pool.
Thus making the car uncompetitive for any real action.
There needs to be an overhaul of the various divisions, some extra PI classes put in place, like suggested elsewhere by those more knowledgeable, and then we might have a game we can enjoy racing other cars that meet our own cars standards.
But I doubt that’ll happen thus iteration. Much too focussed on Apex, and - The Next Big Thing…
I guess you’re just supposed to appreciate the car for the sake of the car and enjoy doing some hotlaps - which is absolutely valid - but I definitely prefer to actually race them against their competitors.
If Turn 10 would care enough they could do an overhaul of the divisions in FM6 (which actually isn’t that much work) but I’m sure they will just ignore the issue and (try to) fix it for FM7.
One example : Cars like the One:1 could still belong to the hypercar class even though they have a higher PI than what is allowed in career mode. But at least the car would be available as part of the hypercar division for free play or multiplayer where the PI limit can be set higher than in career mode.
Also, the free play & multiplayer divisions aren’t even the same as in career mode (especially in motorsport volume 1 there are a lot of differences) so it seems to me the car selection for career mode is handpicked anyway.
The P1 GTR cannot be upgraded beyond a point to compete with the near X Class other P class vehicles in the same class, so that car is rendered useless when pitted against other LMP class cars?
I’d like to be able to race these middle of the PI cars (P1 GTR/FXXK/One:1, etc) online just like all of us. It seems highly unlikely that T10 will create a special lobby or give the players the ability to create publicly searchable lobbies (like in FM4).
So, for now the only probable way to make this happen is a custom league. I submitted my request on this thread as follows:
League type - FXX K vs P1 GTR vs One:1
Restrictions - P910 thru P932 with tuning, No damage
Cars allowed - Definitely the three cars listed. Maybe some other P class cars in this PI range.
Reason - These cars (listed above) cannot be upgraded to be raced in the P class hoppers. Therefore they cannot be raced online (or career). Therefore we need a league. Alternatively we need to have the ability to create lobbies that can be searchable by all players like we had in forza 4. Then we could race these cars online in purpose built, searchable lobbies.
