[quoteForzaRC Season 2 - How to: Tournaments

Every week we have tournaments on Saturday and Sunday, however there are differences between the competitions. Today we want to explain how the tournaments on Saturday work and how the Elite Showdown on Sunday works from a user point of view as well as an administration point of view.
Elite & Consolation Cup on Saturday
We will seed the Top 32 of the Rival’s mode into the Elite Cup and the next 128 players into the Consolation Cup. Only players who have a replay shown in the leader board are allowed to participate in the tournaments.

The tournaments are starting at 18:00 CET and every 40 minutes a new round starts, which means you have up to 40 minutes to play your Best of 3 match against your opponent. You cannot reschedule matches as the tournament needs to be play at this time. Our staff is not in your lobbies and is not checking all matches, so all players have to open protest tickets, if there is a violation of the rules.

Here are 3 possible scenarios which can happen during a tournament:

  1. You play your match without any issues and afterwards you and your opponent enter the result on the website and continue playing (if it is your first loss).

  2. Your opponent does not show up within 15 minutes. If this happens, please open a protest ticket and provide proof, so our staff can check the case and add a default win if needed.

  3. You play your match, but your opponent breaks the rules (e.g. corner cutting, ramming, etc.). Then it is up to you to open a protest in time (10 minutes after the race) to make the staff aware of the issue. It is also up to you to provide proof, so make sure to upload the videos that show the violations and share them in the protest. The 10 minute deadline is needed to keep the delay in the tournament as little as possible.

It is very important to understand that you have to tell the staff about issues and that you have to provide the proof, because our staff team can only decide based on the facts given in the protest. And only players, who participated in the match, can open tickets regarding the match. Tickets from third parties will be ignored.

Elite Showdown on Sunday
On Sunday the Top 16 players from the Elite Cup are racing and our marshal is also in the lobby to observe the whole race. You can of course protest after the races are over and contact our marshal with issues, but we will also check all replays and videos of the three races and punish all violations against the rule book. However this can only be provided on Sunday.[/quote]

Note that there are currently Rivals events in the Monthly Rivals section ahead of the official FM6 start date on November 7. Since these are marked “Recreation Rivals” and coincide with the FH3 events in progress, they probably do not offer any related prizes. Look for an event named “S2W1 Qualifying” starting November 7 for the competitive event.

okay… I want to give a shot at this championship thing, but I am lost…

I’ve registered… but I don’t have a clue how any of this works… I’ve been reading at the ESL website or whatever but I’m still not sure what’s going on.

it’s the forza motorsport championship, not the horizon one…

now that I have registered, what comes next?.. something about rivals is all I can gather… is there an option in the rivals section somewhere or something?.. I’m not seeing it.

I might just be slow, I haven’t slept in almost 24 hours lol… sorry if it’s obvious, but again, I’m really confused… if someone could just give a real brief summary of how this works after registration I’d be much appreciative, thanks!

[Mod Edit - thread merged. Events start next week. - MM]

There are 2 different championships running at the same time.

For the Elite championship you need to set a time in the Rivals events to “qualify”
The 128 fastest qualifiers in those events then race each other on track to decide the true winner and allocate the prizes.

The winners then from each game week have a final set of mega races to decide is truly is the absoulte best and who wins the big prizes.

The second option is the Recreational championship.

These run as multiplayer leagues, and the the higher you finish in each race the more points you earn.
The drivers who earn the most points cumulatively over the week win the prizes

Season 2 should be more sensible and less of a crash fest as there will be less entrants due to the prizes not being so good and not so widely distributed.

In the Elite you get an in game car for partaking in the Rivals qualifier, but need to finish in the top 16 to win cash.

In the Recreational league eveyone who takes part gets an ingame car with a sepcial livery.
Whilst physical prizes are only allocated to the top 25 places.

I don’t think your entirely right. As far as I understand yes there are 2 cups but they run side by side. Top 32 go through to the elite cup and the top 32 to 160 go into the consolation cup. There are no leagues it’s just rivals the leagues are on fh3.

where do I find these events though?

and ya I think the recreational league is actually FH3.

You find the rivals in the community monthly section. There is a practice rival at the moment round sebring in the audi rs4 avant

ah, thank you!..

Yes the Elite champsionship does then break down to Consolation but i was trying to keep it simple as per the OPs request and the site says there are leagues in FM6

To make it as simple as possible

Elite/Consolation Championship
Qualify via Rivals events
Top 32 race for elite prizes
Top 33-128 race for consolation prizes

Recreational Championship

Hold on just read the last bit of you last post so there are leagues fm6

Honestly this whole thing is so confusing I thought i knew what was going on. Surly there is better way of getting this information accross

Right I have just read the very confusing esl site. It states 1 track per week for the Recreational series on FM6 that’s not league format. It gives a solid block of time to qualify not sessions like leagues. If I’m reading it right the Recreational series on FM6 is rivals not leagues. Can anyone clarify this or confirm if there are frc leagues on FM6 ?

okay, so I’m not the only one who finds it confusing? lol

Certainly not. It’s clear on here but esl don’t make it clear what game is associated with each series.

The ESL site doesn;t confirm either way but I’m with you now.
I just made the assumption they were Leagues based on what happened in Season 1, but I’m pretty sure that it’s actually Rivals events.
The screen grab in post #2 above seems to be the same as listed:
Week 2 Oct 30, 2016 8:00AM Pacific Time Nov 6, 2016 7:59AM Pacific Time RS 4 Avant Sebring Full

I guess they listened to all the complaints that leagues rewarded commitment of time rather than actual skill and switched to Rivals.
Which is a shame as I much prefer racing against people than than pounding round a track on my own setting lap times.

Doesn’t really matter though as either way i’m not fast enough in Rivals to win prizes or have enough free time to win prizes in Leagues.
One lap each week to set a time and win a car and livery it is then.

Yes very disapointing to see no leagues on FM6. When I first read the esl website I thought what great league it will be. Maybe season 3 will be back on fm6

Hi all,

I couldn’t see this link on the thread - its ESL’s ForzaRC season 2 FAQ, might help answer a few questions - https://play.eslgaming.com/forza/xbox/news/268192/

Cheers

Looks like the rival is up a day early and t10 have used the wrong track. Catalunya gp rather than national

Car: 2015 Audi TTS Coupé (stock)

Deadline: Wednesday November 9 at 11:59pm Pacific.

Remember to register at https://play.eslgaming.com/forza/xbox earn the season gift car.

Do you know which season gift car we earn?

I don’t know the FM6 gift car but since FH3’s season car is the Aston Martin '77, maybe it’s the same?
