Figured I should post this in here incase I was in the wrong thread earlier. Got a few questions which largely apply to the Open Series, as that uses a League structure.

I would like to know how griefers are handled, like usual (via Snowowl)?
Also if there are griefers, will they be disqualified? If so, for just the race affected, or the rest of the series?

^ From MM post above I believe protests etc. are all ESL responsibility.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really get it.
I’m seeing Rivals and Leagues, so that’s probably similar to earlier events, but I’m guessing Elite is only Leagues? And then like before, you don’t have to race a specific time, just a lot?
And the prices for Open, are they Rivals, Leagues or both?
To participate in week 2, do you need to participate in week 1?
Week 4 participants get FM3. Does this mean you have to participate in all previous weeks and reach a certain level?
Week 4 viewers also get a price? I’m guessing this means you will have to qualify for this somehow? (Although given the timezones it might actually be an achievement just to watch :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )

For now I think I’ll just go for the Rivals. I’ve never really enjoyed racing people I don’t know in an environment where pushing others (intentional or not) gives you an advantage in stead of a penalty.

You dont have to compete each week, but only the top 4 players from each week will get fh3. Week 4 will only be for the top 4 players from the previous weeks totaling 12 players.

No where does it say leagues for elite. ManteoMax post is pretty clear.

Step 1. Qualify for Elite via rivals
Step 2. Once qualified, you’ll battle it out 1v1 style until the top 4 emerge. It’ll be a massive bracket. Imagine NCAA basketball tournament with 1 more round.

It’s basically a more refined version of the MLG tournament in terms of seeding.

There’s no point in trying to qualify for top 128 in elite if you don’t plan on racing in the 1v1 races. All it’ll do is create frustration from those wanting to compete because they’ll have to do various tasks just to confirm that you forfeited.

Raceboy should be happy that everyone is on an even playing field. He suggested it after all.

And yet it took me your and im2fast4u711’s help to fully figure it out. But now that I know, I see it standing there as well
Thanks to the both of you

Great selection of prizes, well done to everyone involved.

One doubt:
FM6 Car Pass DLC: week 1 Leagues Top 50% and Elite Series Grand Finals viewers
FM6 Porsche DLC: week 2 Leagues Top 50% and Elite Series Grand Finals viewers
FM6 NASCAR DLC: week 3 Leagues Top 50% and Elite Series Grand Finals viewers
FM6 VIP and Car Packs DLC: Grand Finals viewers

Does this mean everyone that views the final (streaming I guess) will get all the DLCs? This seems to good to be true! :stuck_out_tongue:

[Mod Edit - the prize list has since removed the Viewers mention - MM]

And it’ll mean I’ll be selling or giving away my codes because top 50% ain’t hard. Lol.

Already gave away one nascar dlc. Lol.

Do i understand this correct ?

If I Participate in open league week 3 and finish in top 50 i will recive for free the Nascar expansion pack ?

I don’t have any details on how the viewers in Week 4 will win DLC, maybe through livestream chat, but I summarized the prizes based on the white charts, which are found at the ESL site.

Top 50% of your Division, yes.
[Edit - the rules state that it’s top 50% of registered players]

Not exactly

•The top 50% of registered ESL Open Series players in each League will be awarded the weekly prize via the email address associated with their ESL account.

So currently there are 6954 registered Open Series players. There are 1938 Grassroots players. I don’t like making assumptions, but let’s say 80% of the players are registered, and those that are registered are more committed than those who aren’t, then I would say you should be aiming for at least position 800 out of 1938. I don’t think getting to position 969 (1938/2) is going to cut it.

That’s the shortend version from here:

http://play.eslgaming.com/forza/xbox/forzamotorsport6-one/open/championship-season-1-open/

Inside the full rules they say …

‘The top 50% of registered ESL Open Series players in each League will qualify for a weekly prize. Only qualified players who have registered for ESL and have registered for the ForzaRC Open are eligible to receive a prize.’

http://play.eslgaming.com/forza/xbox/forzamotorsport6-one/open/championship-season-1-elite-cup-1/rules

ManteoMax says in his FAQ

‘If you are in the top 50% of your Division’s leaderboard then you will earn the DLC prize of that week, sent to the email address in your ESL account profile. You can win each of the three weekly League DLC prizes. If you do not end up in the top 50% you will still earn that week’s unicorn car and livery just for participating.’

With the questions I posted above, I was hoping that the introduction of this series would have some side benefits for general Hopper/League racing, but from what I’ve read of the rules & recent patch notes it looks to be a self-contained thing. So basically, the Hoppers will remain the frustrating experience they always have been, and Leagues will run the same way they always have, contentious scoring system included.

I was hoping to get back in to Forza Motorsport 6 if I saw some efforts to make the day-to-day Hopper experience less frustrating for those that want to race clean. As it stands I don’t see it changing any time soon. I lost interest in Leagues after Christmas as I’d rather race “what I want, when I want”, and the FRC Leagues don’t entice me all that much as I already own NASCAR/Porsche (gifts from friends) and Unicorns mean nothing if I’m not playing the game already. I’m nowhere near good enough to do well in the Elite Series so I won’t bother coning back for that either.

The Forza Racing Championship itself is a good idea and I am sure that those who still enjoy Forza Motorsport 6 will have a great time over the next few weeks, but it’s just not for me and the side-benefits I was hoping to see will not come to fruition. Maybe I was a little naive to think that new Multiplayer tools/features would be added to a game that’s been out for 10 months.

I’ve already made my thoughts known in a Forza Motorsport 7 wishlist as regards what I would like to see done to Multiplayer, I guess I’ll just have to wait a year to see if any of it comes to pass. Until then, good bye and good luck in the FRC to those that compete.

Ok cool thanks, looks like a somewhat easy way of getting that pack

Apologies if I missed something, but are the rivals events taking place right now the ones that will get you the Escort RS1600? If so, do you need to compete in all 3 events to get it? I don’t have the Hot Wheels pack, so I don’t have the Focus RS needed for one of the events.

Edit: seems one of my friends confirmed that the week 1 rivals hasn’t started yet…
