How to Not Screw Up Your Car

I bet most people new to Forza will be wondering how to tune cars. Many people will do big adjustments and will screw up their car. Or, they’ll max upgrade, for example, a Lambo Huracan, and it’ll understeer all the way to hell.
Here are some tips to get the best performance out of a car:

  • drive it stock for a couple days. Get used to how it drives. Take note of what you do and don’t like. Why I suggest this: In FH3, a stock Ford GT was way better to drive than a X-999 Ford GT and you’d know how certain upgrades affect your car
  • upgrade the car to your liking
  • IF YOU KNOW that you want to use this car and are willing to put time into making it perfect,
then I’d suggest doing upgrades in a certain area (ex: power) and go out and test it, then do a different set of upgrades (I typically start with tires/wheels, then trans/handlng, then power)
  • Then make small adjustments once you’re done upgrading.

From my experience:
Tire PSI
road cars: 28.5F and 29.5-30R
offroad: 25F and 27R

Camber:
NOTE: More camber means less steering angle. EX: you might be able to turn the wheels 65 degrees with 0 degrees of camber, but with 3 degrees of camber you’ll only get 50 degrees of steering, which is definitely noticeable at lower speeds. If you want a car for tight corner tracks, go 0.5 degrees of camber. For other stuff it depends on the car, kinda random.

ANTI ROLL bars:
start with them at the same tension. If too much understeer, make the rear stiffer. If the rear is too stiff, which you could notice when driving, go softer on the front instead.

BRAKES (BIG HELP for people with controllers with ABS OFF)
If you drive with ABS off, I’d suggest making the brakes “softer”, and full lock of brakes would be if you really squeezed the controller. This means more accuracy on how much braking you want on a controller.

If you want the driftability of a RWD car but like the grip of an AWD car, make your car AWD, then tune the diff anywhere from 90-98% balance, and you’ll get the best of both worlds.

Good luck!
