I have a problem with some of my tunes. Basically when i make a FWD tune, sometimes my rear ties will be in the blue through an entire race.
I am just wondering what types of tweaks i should make in tuning settings in order to get more heat into the rear tires to improve rear grip. Or does it not matter because it’s FWD?
Thanks.
You shouldn’t really care about it.
If you have struggles with grip in the rear then you have to change the suspension and anti roll bars settings. FWD cars naturally have cold rear tires, that shouldn’t matter too much.

Can lower front roll center
Can raise rear roll center
Or do both at the same time in small steps and test it. Some cars like a little adjustment, some like a lot. So don’t be afraid to move that bar and experiment. Also be sure to test your setup on different compound tires. Don’t wana slap on hard tires and suddenly it’s like a drift car. I like to tune my cars on hard tires.
Even if fwd try to get rear tires somewhat close to front temps so your utilizing all the available grip.
Lower front acceleration differential so the tires can move more freely but wo wheel spin under power, lower for decel can help to on corner entry. To little of decel and it will get squirley on some cars.
Ps toe should be lightly used no more than 0.3 or-0.3. Will slow you down and wear tires.
Start with this
-0.1 front toe
0.1 rear toe
Good luck

Just curious, is that website specifically for Forza tuning or just cars IRL in general?
Tbh I don’t remember. Was looking for tuning tips and to learn to be more efficient in game tuner, instead of taking days to do it. It’s really helped me like my personal setup cheat sheet. I’m sure some of it could apply to reality? At your own risk though.
I’d just increase the rear tire pressure accordingly so that they are the right pressure while they are cold
To even get close theyd be balooning though. The temps are even in turns, just at like 80C with race tires lol.
How’s your tuning coming along? Wouldn’t mind an update once in a while just to see how you’re doing with it. When you have time of course. Just hate to see people struggle and don’t mind helping out. Took me forever to learn what I know now. Makes me wish I knew this stuff 30 years ago, man I coulda really blew dads doors off

I’m not really a fwd fan but if you wana get together sometime and race or compare builds we can.
The main thing that holds me back with tuning is i always just want to get to the next car ASAP haha. Also i never know when to throw in the towel for cars that just arent good. And i also hate FWD cars but this post was about working on the MG touring car so i couldnt exactly RWD swap it
.
But it goes good. Before i started tuning i was 46-4700 skill rating but now im consistently 4930-4950 and always finish in the top 10.
Got a bit disillusioned with tuning for a week or two when they rebalanced all the touring cars because alot of my really successful tunes no longer work so ill have to redo them
