How Many Backstage Passes should you accumulate?

I want a feeling as to how many backstage passes I should accumulate …

  1. as many as I can for future Backstage cars?
  2. Just a few because there will only be so many cars available in Backstage
I have accumulated 7 unused passes because I own every car so far availabe from Backstage.
    Thanks much HawkiPierce

depends what you want, really; one starting point might be to count the number of cars you do not own and aim to have that many spare passes “just in case”, or have at least that many

Who cares ?
I’ve accumulated every one and never bothered to use a single one.
They are a pointless addition but they still throw them at us in every season.
Unless you’re new to the game of course but for most, it’s just a waste of space that they could use elsewhere.
Until they start adding DLC cars that I refuse to pay for in a game this old when I paid for the Premium edition then I won’t bother.
And… what’s the deal with DLC cars only being able to be purchased in AH by people that already have the DLC pack and therefore the cars anyway. Pointless. They should be buyable to EVERYBODY that wants to spend the credits.

Well, backstage passes are fairly easy to come by. I dunno how you could have problems. But if you did, you just wait a couple of weeks to accumulate them and buy the cars you want then. It’s not as if they are pulling cars from the Backstage. They ain’t going anywhere.

I’m buying all of them because I have over 40k Forzathon points and what else am I going to do with those? Plus if I’m insane enough to buy a second copy of the game on Steam, I’m hoping they’ll carry over between the two versions like they did for FH4.

Depends how you choose to play the game. If youre cool with just switching tunes in one car. You only need one. If you want different liveries without having to scroll through the unsorted mess, you might want more than one.

Personally, I like having one for each good tune since you cant load a tune before entering some online race. And I like being the original owner. So I get as many of the hard to finds until I know exactly how many I need. My garage hovers around 1995 cars and I have some undriven autoshow cars to delete to make room. I can always buy another of those when I get closer to having a finished garage.

On the hard to finds …

In the past day or so I worked on the Lamborghini Aventador J and came up with 4 versions I liked. It was recently a backstage pass and I only have 2 … so Im stuck waiting for an old playlist to come back around. I checked the old playlist choices for next month and the Italian one originally had an Aventador J as a reward, but a post today said its not in the Italian one if it wins. So I guess Im going to be 2 short.

But the Lucid … was recently in backstage and I already had 2 and didnt need a 3rd. So I didnt get that one and am saving 1 backstage for a future decision.

Just depends on how you want to play it.

I get that. Some people like to have a few cars with various tunes ready to go but I prefer to just keep my garage clean with one car, all the tunes, and switch them when I need to. There are a few duplicates though that I keep just for personal reasons on tunes or liveries.

Saying that, I’m at nearly 1400 cars in the garage cos I’m too lazy to get rid of them and I’d really like to drop it down to the bare minimum…

I joined FH5 last year at the end of Horizon Race Off series, so quite a lot of previous HTF cars are not in my garage. So I’m using the passes to buy all the cars I don’t have. If the vote gives me two cars that I already have, I would save that week’s pass for the future.

Yup … any way you want to do it is perfect.

But if anyone hasnt made a decision yet, one factor to consider is that the tune limit is way lower than the car limit. If you want one of each car but with multiple tunes of all x amount of cars saved, you cant do it. Im constantly bumping into the tune limit even the way I play it.

I use my backstage passes on any actual new-to-Forza cars that get put there, and avoid using them on cars that were in Autoshows of previous games (Testarossa, Huayra, 131 Abarth, etc.) even if I don’t have that specific one. I can then sell any unneeded duplicates and I’m still left with spare passes

isn’t there a thing that you tune a car, delete the tune but it’s kept anyway?

if you make a tune and delete it in the garage it’ll still be in the creative hub - not sure how it fully works, though, as I only have a couple of tunes (have a laugh if you want, I make no pretense that they’re any good - especially the bonkers offroad one)

There is no right or wrong answer, only the position of your car collection

It comes down to how many cars you don’'t currently have, how many forza points you have banked and if you plan on gifting or selling any of the cars in future

I have 90K forza points and all of the currently available cars with the exception of a couple of DLC items

I get a pass from the 40 points each week and buy the one from the shop because I have no other use for my points

I do plan on gifting some of the backstage cars at some point later in the year

Agreed - have’t hit that limit as yet but it’s probably coming…
Another reason why I just ignore the Backstage Pass.

That is another issue that bugs me.
Why, when you delete a tune, does it stay in the ether ?
It takes multiple moves just to finally get rid of it and I just can’t be bothered with the hassle.
Just remove it when it’s deleted. Shouldn’t be an issue that we have to deal with.

I think thats right. The game says you wont get rewards if you delete/unshare and I dont think your tunes show up if you search your name in suggested, but they do seem to be still there and downloadsble in your own creative hub. This work around for the tune limit only works if you drive all your own stuff, not other peoples. I drive only my own stuff so it works for me, but if someone drives other people’s tunes, I dont think theres a workaround for the tune limit.

Yes, you will for some reason have one shared even if you deleted in your tunes if you save it in garage (don’t happend so often if you save it in freeroam). Search tuner (yourself) and it will appear. Download the tune and then Do not delete it without check how many downloads you have got from it. Mabye it’s a keeper otherwise stop sharing the tune, delete and do a search again.

I have circa 10-15 backstage passes unused. every car I obtained before. It should start from Series 1 & 2 and etc. , not randomize , i am unable to collect accolades. Someone like me i play not for same beginning.

I have no idea how many I have as I have no interest in them and have never even bothered to check.
Don’t need any cars other than the DLC car pack ones, so until they release those (or better still let anybody buy them instead of players that already have them) then I won’t be using any.
