How does Multiplayer works?

Hello everyone

First of all let me mention that it’s my first time being part of the horizon and FH4 is my first game of the series ever played
With that being said I wanted to ask how does the online part of the game works !

I didn’t really understood the way ! While I was playing some races and doing some stunts I pressed the online option and a loading to session thing popped up on top of my screen
! To be honest I was waiting to see a loading screen and the jump into a lobby ! Now another thing I want to mention is that when I joined I had the option to do races co-op or solo when I choose solo
Is like automatically disconnected me and then I had to re-join !

So my questions are

  1. Is this really the way it works? No loading screen and once you go in a race solo you get disconnected from the session?

Also I have a couple of other questions such as.
2. The cars that am using in offline mode will be the same as the once that I use in online mode ? or is there any other career in online mode?
3. How can I see how many people are in one session ?

I know some questions are pretty basic but is my first time playing a horizon game and I just want to get used to it quickly as possible !

Transitioning from Solo to Online free-roam is completely seamless, no loading screen. Doing a solo race puts you back into Solo mode then should automatically try to find a new online session unless you chose to go into “Horizon Solo” mode from the menu.

You drive whatever car you want whenever you want, Being online or offline doesn’t change anything.

The Horizon Life screen in the pause menu has an option to view players in session.
