Hi all, just wondering about the sound in the side and back speakers. Does the car’s exaust note play through the side and or back speakers when you are in hood or cockpit view? I only have a 2 channel Parasound setup. I just don’t like how quiet some cars are with the hood or cockpit views. It’s weird cuz some cars, the exaust note is heard quite well and others its way too quiet. I know when you look to either side when driving you can hear the exaust note( and I find myself doing this quite often just to listen lol) The VW Beetle with any any engine swap is a good example of a car that is too quiet in hood or cockpit view. Maybe this is a bug in the sound(no pun inended haha) As you can tell I really love the job T10 have done with the audio of the cars, the reverb and echo is nothing short of excellent!
I run a 5.1 Home Theartre setup that cost me £1900 and what you describe is basically the same as my experience, I have a Honda S2000 that sounds incredible in cockpit cam yet my Zonda sounds awful in cockpit and you hear the car next to me drowning it out. Forza 5 defo suffers from audio problems no matter stereo 5.1 or 7.1
I adjusted my Turtle Beaches (DX 12’s with the DSS stuff) and my console to do the Dolby Digital, and I must say the 5.1 sounds really good compared to that old crappy compressed stereo that was stock before the update. Large improvement, not quite perfect, but much much better!
i have tritton AX 720 pros and Astro A40’s - i actually prefer the sound more using the AX720’s.
Bitstream sound has been put into the Xbox one now, i was on the Beta for the OS, final update is better than the Beta as i heard some popping early on that has been cured.
it’s funny how sound plays a different part in games, in BF4/COD its to give you an advantage, in Forza its to bring more enjoyment.
is it a firmware thing? did it need fresh firmware installing to make it work on the xbox one - i know my buddy had to do it through his pc to get his to work?
after today’s update? My wheel was fine until today.when I plugged it in it didn’t even switch the Xbox on.
Had to turn the Xbox on via controller then the update started.
Thanks for the reply bud.
