Hey guys.
Seems like there was a confusion with the thread I posted before (which was double posted, but not on purpose), Seems like both version got deleted while I only asked for the doubled one to be removed.
anyway
I belong tot the lucky ones who get to review Forza 6 a few days before it is released. but since the demo has a rainy track as well, I guess a lot of you might be able to help me with my research. As part of my research, I want to find out what the forza core audience thinks about the 3D puddles on rainy tracks. For my part, I am not sure what to think about them. Those puddles are definetely a new fun factor which provide the races with a reason to drive different paths than usual… So in terms of gameplay it is a useful addition to the game.
On the contrary, it is unrealistic for two reasons. First of all, all pro race tracks have a draining system which prevents puddles from lasting, so it is very unlikely to see puddles on a real racing track which is properly managed. Secondly , let’s just think those draining systems wouldn’t be around or it rained so heavily that all the pipes were filled with water. Well in that case the race would normally be canceled or delayed. Nobody would want to jeoperdize drivers and cars (puddles can be very dangerous at such high velocity, leading to fatal accidents). So ultimately, deep 3D puddles of this size take some of forzas simulation ambitions away and add a some arcady touch to the game. Fun in the rain vs. realism so to speak. What are your thoughts about that? How do you like the puddeles as a feature and what is your opinion based on ?
Thanks for helping me on this.
