I created a route earlier today and left with a partially finished route that was not yet a blueprint intending to go back to it later and finish adding the walls, etc… and optimizing the route.
Except. I cant find the function to actually load that route and start working on it again. How do you open a previously saved route?
When I created and saved a new route, the other one is there, I just cannot find a load screen anywhere on the eventlab in the pause menu or on the specific race start location.
Please help.
Unfortunately that’s the problem. I can SEE it but no way to load it. Creating the new route only lets me overwrite the one I want, not load it up to continue editing it.
Yeah. We need a “my routes” kinda option for that
It’s been a bit but I thought you can go to Create Blueprint, go to Select Route and there get to the list of your custom routes. There’s onscreen instruction for the command to edit when you have the right one highlighted. Again it’s been a while and it’s seemed like a better way should be possible.

This is how i do it:
Eventlab > My Events > Click any one of your existing eventlabs > Edit Blueprint > Rename the title/description/car class etc and go to Create/Choose Route > your route should come up and then you can then continue on editing your blueprint.
Once you’re finished make sure you don’t overwrite your existing blueprint, save it as a new blueprint.
An easier way , if i’m only halfway through an eventlab and i need to go to bed:
i still save and publish it as an event and write something like WIP in the title. (you can then unshare it straight away so that people can’t see it) then next time when you need to modify it, you can just edit that blueprint.
Hope that makes sense,

recommended, make a blueprint, unshare it, you can then edit the route thru the settings page

Thank you Petrolhead & WhiteBurrito. Using your suggestions I was able to get back into the route. Unfortunately, by using the previous blueprint to get back in, it locked the starting point and drivatars from that blueprint. So it doesn’t start where it should have. However when the drivatars take off, it causes a missed checkpoint and then it restarts where it’s supposed to and the race begins.
If you want to check it out, the sharecode is: 832 871 538
It’s called “River Run Falls”.
The idea was to not have drivatars at all so you could take a nice leisurely drive, so if you set the drivatars to unbeatable and let them take off, you can start and just have a nice drive. However, if you want to race them, have at it.
Thanks again for everything, I really appreciate it.
I’ll try it out. Doesn’t seem right that it won’t let you change the drivatars. I imagine there’s a workaround for that. I haven’t experienced that but haven’t created many routes recently.
Ran it, good route through the river.
Did you use a different location to create the blueprint from where you created the route? I tried that and had a similar result to yours. I’d try creating a new blueprint at the route location to see if that works better.

Its a pain, but redrawing the route should fix this.

you can turn them off here
I was trying to start the route at the “Mulegé Town Scramble” then just veer off to the river, but because of the problem loading the route, the only blue print I had was a drag from the festival. So that’s where it started, but the first checkpoint sent you from the drag strip back to the Mulegé, so it turned out ok.
I tried to put some objects in like the Rapinui Heads of Easter Island and some statues, but when racing, you completely miss them. That’s why I wanted the leisurely drive.
I do want to thank you for checking it out though. Now that I have a better idea of what to do, I think my next attempt will be better. Thanks again.
