HOW DO I PLAY THIS GAME ONLINE? NEED HELP PLEASE!

So since launch i have not been able to join any forza horizon live sessions. It just loops disconnected, try again msg.
The auction house works, even got in a convoy, but cant connect to a live session at all… BTW forza horiznon 4 works fine…
Yes ive tried to change some settings in gpedit.msc and services, teredo shows that its working but, no horizon live…
Any advice?

Teredo seems to run as the “Netsh Int Teredo Show Stat” command in CMD gives out:
Type : enterpriseclient (Group Policy)
Server Name : win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com.
Client Refresh Interval : 10 seconds (Group Policy)
Client Port : 3544 (Group Policy)
State : qualified
Client Type : teredo client
Network : managed
NAT : cone
NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: Yes, PortPreserving: Yes
Local Mapping : 192.168…:3544
External NAT Mapping : …:3544
“Xbox Networking gives out NAT: Open & connected”
I have all the ports done in my router, have the UPnP set to on. Same as DMZ is on.

THIS IS DONE ON A FRESH WINDOWS 10 INSTALL WITH ALL THE UPDATES AND A FRESH COPY OF FORZA

plz help :frowning:

From what i can find on portforward.com, try to forward these ports on your router

Forza Horizon 5 Steam :
TCP: 27015-27030, 27036-27037
UDP: 4380, 27000-27031, 27036

Forza Horizon 5 Windows Store :
TCP: 3074
UDP: 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500

For comparing, this is mine. but i have a direct connection (modem in bridge-mode)

Type : enterpriseclient
Server Name : win1910.ipv6.microsoft.com.
Client Refresh Interval : 20 seconds
Client Port : unspecified
State : qualified
Client Type : teredo host-specific relay
Network : managed
NAT : none (global connectivity)
NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: No, PortPreserving: No

Just got my firend to share his screen in a call, he didnt even have teredo configured, it showed blocked for him, no ports on router ether and all that. And he could join a session no problem…
Also yes i have forwarded the ports on my end…
I reinstalled win 10, reinstalled forza, reset router, recreated teredo so it shows connected and not blocked, opened ports, and still nothing. I can join convoys, buy cars from auction, but never can i join a horizon live or any race. Keeps saying disconnected. And if i join a convoy it just shows a loading ring next to our names in convoy, and we cant start races, i just get disconnected. About now ive tried everything… Like is there any advice what could cause this?
Just so you dont get it twisted, i have not been in online yet… So its not the usuall thing when it disconnects u from a while to while, i cant get in the horizon live at all.

Exactly the same happens to me, I’ve tried everything, It works with another Wifi Network, but not with my home Wifi

Teredo using the Microsoft client is rubbish and when I was using it I was constantly being disconnected / failing to connect in Horizon 4. Here’s my settings that work:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface teredo show state
Teredo Parameters

Type : enterpriseclient
Server Name : teredo.trex.fi
Client Refresh Interval : 30 seconds
Client Port : unspecified
State : qualified
Client Type : teredo client
Network : managed
NAT : cone
NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: Yes, PortPreserving: Yes

Yes a different teredo server could solve it, you can also try different teredo methods using command prompt.

netsh int teredo set state client
netsh int teredo set state enterpriseclient
netsh int teredo set state natawareclient

client: Enable the Teredo client.
enterpriseclient: Skip managed network detection.
natawareclient: Enable the Teredo client and identify the NAT type.

Idk i mean, as i said, it is showing me connected/Open and ive tried bunch of teredo “settups” most of them work as in (open & connected) and all that good stuff, but still cant connect to horizon live…
ive read that people use WIFI and somehow bypass this, any idea how a wifi signal would effect the situation differently? Also i cant check if that works for me, as i have desktop without wifi module.

Some people will use their mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot which bypasses the router and the ISP and any restrictions they may have…unfortunately, you can’t test that without a Wi-Fi card. You can get a decent Intel Wi-Fi card relatively cheaply but it’s still money for something that may not solve the issue.

Teredo showing as Open means it is connected to the IPV4 protocol but that doesn’t negate other issues. I don’t know where you aresituated or your ISP but a lot of ISPs now can utilise the IPV6 protocol (which doesn’t need Toredo…Toredo is basically a switching service to switch an IPV6 signal to be compatible with IPV4 as a lot of services still don’t offer it)…however, a lot of routers ship with IPV6 disabled by default so this is something to look into: If you ISP offers IPV6 and, if so, checking if it’s activated on your router. Not guaranteed to fix the isue but worth looking into

Regarding convoys, it seems a lot of convoys show all the players still loading in (judging from streams I have watched)…however, they can still race so not sure why you can’t

Yes, mobile wifi works, can confirm. So ISP says they dont block anything, teredo says its all good (open), but wiith ethernet cable wont work.

Take my word when I say ur not missing out on much if u can’t currently play online. Infact your probably better off until all the main bugs and issues around online play are resolved

i have no clue about WIFI, the only thing i can think of is how the wifi is configured on the router, like the security it uses WPA2 etc with AES or TKIP Encryption and such. Maybe some wifi settings affects how the game functions online.

It could also be the wifi-adapter settings in windows itself, at network adapter options.

You don’t because it’s still broken after 2 weeks

I tried using my smartphone as Wifi Repeater, and it didnt work.
I think it needs to be something with the ISP, same pc different ISP it works, same ISP either using WiFi or the Wifi Repeater of the phone it doesnt work.
