I’ve done every exhibition race, speed zone, drift zone, danger sign etc. in the hot wheels expansion. But every race I look at, the championship ship option is locked. How do I access the Championship races in the Hot wheels Expansion?
Once Goliath is done and you win it is should unlock If you have done it all ready try again and see if it pops.

Thanks. I’ve run Goliath five times. I won two of the races. I guess I’ll try again. The last time I ran Goliath I came in second. Maybe I need to win three times?
Looking further I think I had the same issue with Blizzard Mountain. I don’t think I was ever able to race in any of the Blizzard Mountain Championships either.
Now why do I think you are using a PC to play
I use two Xbox One S systems to play.
Did you get the Hotwheels Champion achievement? You get this
I wonder if it’s tied to notification issue for achievements.
I’m not on PC so it’s hard for me to help you troubleshoot but I noticed that persons in Forzathons whereby getting awards due to notifications being turned off and other reasons. (I’m not using the correct wording.)
Talby or Max may be able to say what you need to do.
I figured I’d ask if your getting the achievements as I’m sure that is the item that kicks (awards and unlocking)
I did not get the that achievement. And when I looked closer I realized I was never able to play the Championships in Blizzard Mountain either. I could only play the Exhibitions in both expansions. No idea why. But I gave up on Blizzard Mountain. And I guess I will give up on Hot Wheels.

Might be a stupid question but are you sure you don’t have an ongoing championship somewhere ? Main game, BM or HW ?

Yes. That was one of the things I thought about. And I did have an ongoing championship in the main game. But I had cancelled it. And the championships were still locked with both expansions.
I don’t remember if I tried uninstalling everything when I had this issue with Blizzard Mountain. But I’m going to try that on one of my systems today. And see if there is any difference after I re-install everything.
I have a similar problem. The championships are not locked but when I try and enter them the loading screen that says syncing drivatars just keeps going and I have to quit. I am using Xbox. The Ops issue re it still being locked does seem strange though. Even if they did have an active championship going elsewhere in the game it should not show as locked. It should say abandon or finish existing championship or words to that effect.
Also if you do any championships in Coop mode and do not finish the championship. I.e all races, it will show as you having an active championship but won’t let you finish it in solo and won’t let you start another. You will have to remember who you started the coop championship with and finish it. Tricky if you did it with multiple friends and something to note if you are prone to being disconnected from servers.
Sweet!! That did it. I reinstalled everything and then ran Goliath again. And after I won again, it gave me the Hot WHeels Championship achievement and unlocked the Championship races!
I’m glad I’m on the FiOS Gigabit tier now. It downloaded everything at around 350Mb/s. So it was much faster than when I used to be on the 150Mb/s Internet tier.
Glad it worked out for you. I don’t oils be totally screwed if I had tore down load the game @3-7mbs /second. Would have been an overnight affair for sure
