How to unlock championship races?

I just want to know how can I activiate championships? I did a lot of the exhibition races on surfers side, but only managed to complete two championships. I have gold for the exhibition side but championship is greyed out and locked. Any help or advice will be apperciated it thanks.

The answer to almost every unlock question is: keep playing. Keep racing in events, opening and expanding your Festival sites, entering the various types of events marked “New” on your map, and following game prompts. The Championships will unlock eventually.

Oh ok figured, I thought it was set up in sections. But with That information I will keep playing thanks a lot.

I was wondering this myself, as it is never fully explained. Sure, you get a “tutorial” in one of the events, but I thought it would be a continuing thing, that championships would be apart from normal stuff. But I guess you need to do different exhibitions, expand your festivals, etc… And then they unlock every once and awhile?
Also… 63 championships and 63 exhibition races according to the progress tab. Which means more and more championships will open up as we level up our festivals. (With that I mean starting out with fewer championships and more exhibition races and such and near the end more championships and less of the other stuff as they are both equal in numbers, but you start with more normal routes in the beginning… or something like that. Seems logical…)

One final question… what’s the max level we can raise our festivals to?

5 I think.

Thanks.
I finally noticed the “press X for help” in the menu. -_-

I’m trying to do more championships but it’s says I can’t because I’m already in one… But checking the map shows no current championship

Filter the map to only show Championship events, in case you are missing an icon.

The championship events tend to have a bigger icon and if you stray from the map you’ll see arrows which directs you to them which exhibitions dont have.

This is far more complicated than necessary. I’m level 28 and have only done one championship, I’ve had to take to Google to work out how to get the next one! Lol

Im wondering a similar thing…but my question is how do you unlock a championship for online? Or can you playbthem online?

My current championship is three circuit races which require the purchase of extremely expensive cars and the cheapest is 1M credits.
I only have 2.6m credits so that seems a bit extreme to me, especially as I’m trying to build up credit to get cars of my choice, not theirs.
Seems I won’t be able to finish that championship without using most of my credit then.
That sucks quite frankly.

If you’re far enough into the game to have Blueprints available, you should be able to create a championship for whatever cars you want.

If you’re not ready to spend that much credits, you can blueprint (customize) the championship to use a more affordable vehicle or one you already own.

Ah! How did I miss that?
Cheers, i’ll report back.

I’d like to blueprint the current championship (Figure eight trial) but the blueprint only appears to be available for the exhibition of that event. The option is to continue championship which then takes me to the very expensive car option rather than a blueprint for the championship.

Edit:
I had to quit the current championship in order to create a blueprint based on that.

You’ll need to finish your current championship first (unless you choose to quit the championship), but then you can use blueprint before starting another championship.

Cheers, it just occurred to me.
Again, very helpful people here, so thanks.

The blueprints have added a lot of flexibility to the game, especially in helping to expand a festival site.
I’ve been wanting to try out the Goliath Track and finally managed it by running shorter blueprint championships in ‘any car goes’ until I reached level five festival.
The key here seems to be experimentation, but heck, is this game addictive or what?
