How can i stop being placed on HW world

I completed it, i don’t really care for it, i’d like to stop being placed on HW world when i launch the game since i always have to travel to Mexico and it’s a waste of time.

Is there a way?

Set your ‘home’ to one of the houses or festivals in Mexico.

A few times i noticed that if i wasnt in my “home” before i left game i would get sent to HW also just check and make sure everything is up to date cause it hasnt happened to me in a lil bit but like i said try being in ur home before you leave game

Yeah, this has actually been happening to me for a while now, despite where I am when exiting the game. Previously, if you were in your “home” location when exiting, you would return there, upon a re-start, but not long after I noticed anytime I restarted the game, it launches in HWs, with any uncompleted missions automatically “pinned” in your view.

I just assumed it was another effort to force engagement into HWs activities, so I’m forced to do the same & travel to the Mexico site each time.

Same problem here. My house is the hotel in Mexico. The game always starts me in HW even if I was in Mexico last time I played.

Same here. Created a ticket but we all know it’s just a waste of time.
I’m sure all the additional clicks and load times it puts on us are counted as “player engagement” by PGG.

Oh, and the treasure hunt today was of course bugged again (PC). Many, many months of this issue happening but PGG appears incapable of fixing it.

They recently added this feature (bug) to increase hot wheels player metrics.

Thank you.

Edit: It worked!!!

That was my assumption per my comment above; was this legitimately acknowledged somewhere?

No, it’s just a glitch. I had it at first too, but I think I got around it by going back to Mexico and changing my home to another location.

Did you set that home before or after the HW expaiwas added ?

Reading between the lines there, setting your home location to somewhere in Mexico again while the bug is still present risks resetting your game progress. It’s a risk I’m not willing to take. I learned the hard way in FH5 about six months ago.

The FH4 expansions did the same thing to me. You just set your home where you want.

Nothing in that post suggests that game progress is reset. All it said is that the car was set to the Supra, which I’m assuming was the car they chose at the beginning. My car is reset to my original Corvette all the time on game start for no particular reason.

I’ve also been wondering this. My home was set in Mexico but due to the endless connectivity issues, I have to reboot the game every time I play it which sends me to HW site? I will try changing my home as mentioned above and will let you all know the outcome

PGG metrics indicate that a lot of players are returning to Hot Wheels. Evidently players can’t get enough of it. Subsequently, PGG announce the next expansion will be a remake of the hot wheels remake.

:joy: They’re looking after the planet mate. Reduce, reuse and recycle!

If it is not what my post said, that is certainly what it meant to say.
The car was reset to the Supra in my case, must indeed have been my original first car chosen, in all honesty can’t remember that. No progress whatsoever has been lost.

I can see it now in the hallowed halls of PGG: “So look, player feedback on our forums suggests they are receptive to a second HWs expansion. Let’s throw it into Legoland & call it a day! (Wait…who took my stapler?!)
