So I guess I don’t have to introduce the issue to anyone here, probably everyone knows about this constans stuttering, freezing and crashing issues FM7 has when loading pretty much anything. But why though? The game actually plays so smoothly with a good FPS even on decent PCs, I think it’s safe to say it’s a well made and optimized game for the most part. Then why does it [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] itself after a while in menus and when it has to load anything? And there’s still no fix for this, even though the game’s been out for quite a while now? Or what else can one do to help the situation, other than the “turn off game mode” tip which seems to be the only official advice?
What even is this? Memory leak? Seems to be something like that, considering what happen is the memory usage keeps going up until the game freezes and crashes when it can’t load anymore.
People love to fiddle with their PC’s, overclocking, having background apps running. Windows10/drivers get updated, Forza 7 has to keep up. I’m just glad I play on Xbox, no options to mess it up for myself!.
You could be correct normally I only play on Xbox One S But i have just entered the PC gaming world again after several years of Console only gaming. So I downloaded Forza Apex and it ran a treat at 60 fps at 1080 recommended settings looked great on my 46 inch TV.
So then I installed Forza 7 and launched the game and I will say it has more detail and better looking at 1080 than the Xbox One S on the same TV, This made me happy as I can now play Forza 7 on my brand new PC running at a steady 60 fps at 1080 with recommended settings.
Oh buy the way my new PC is just a NUC and it runs Forza 7 and Forza Apex almost perfectly, when on the Track not a problem at all, But I did notice that the menu is a tad laggy but as long as you do not button mash I can not see this being a problem, I even ran a couple of League races with out any problems changed my car and added a tune with no problems,
So when in menus take your time and use your filters to make life easier as if my itty bitty Hades Canyon NUC can run Forza 7 at 60fps at 1080 high detail than well enough said .
I just hat to add this I looked at the Video settings and set the Frame Rate to unlocked and got a whopping 150fps @1080 on a itty bitty Intel NUC
