didn’t played the game for a long time (about month and a half)
when i played it last time i can remember it ran pretty well +- on my PC.
So i started the game yesterday and it’s my first time playing it since the big August update, and i experience really bad stuttering, even to some points of full 1 sec hanging … [to ruin the race it’s enough]
i’m running the game at 1440 max settings
and my rig is : Nvidia GTX 1080 FE, intel i7 7700K, 16 GB ram, windows 10-64 bit [1803], latest Nvidia driver (399.07)
I’m sorry if this is was posted already i’m just not up dated about the current state of the game.
The game almost a year out on PC and from what i can see it’s been and still is a full year of technical problems and performance issues for the PC version. And i’m not even starting to talk about the other game-breaking bugs like broken message center, FORZATHON etc …
It’s the first big FM title on PC so this is really frustrating, i had big hopes for this game but i’m not sure now i’m gonna buy another Forza title on PC ever again because a short trip on the forums here shows that devs not really care about the PC community at all…
I have stuttering issues when the “Target FPS” is set is"Unlocked(no VSYNC)". I get way more FPS with this setting BUT since the FPS fluctuates between 50-160 FPS regularly in this game, I found it causes stuttering.
When I switched to “Unlocked (with VSYNC)”, the stuttering goes away but I get less overall FPS. The game will tend to lock to 60fps most of the time (some times more) to maintain smoothness. Sometimes itll lock higher at 120 if the conditions are right. For some reason this game cant handle it the wide range of FPS.
I have a 1080ti and at 1440p, max setting as well.
The game is full of bugs, and the stuttering issue I have been having since windows 1803 release till now and other too, have been trying to figure out if it could be fixed but nothing, looks like Turn 10 continue to ignore these issue and never bring it up. the only way i can play without stutter is using windows 1709 on the side just for forza! ridiculous but at least i can enjoy the wasted money on this game.

Are you running any monitoring software, afterburner or similar?
Your spec is almost identical to mine and i get no stuttering.
