Stuttering Fixed Yet?

Really want to play this, but not in the state I played it in. I see there’s been a patch recently, anyone experienced if the stuttering has been fixed yet?

Thanks.

It was not. VIP was implemented though.

Thanks good to know.

What is stuttering? Is that when a computer/Xbox doesn’t have the power to play the game?

Hi, my personnal definition of stuttering is when having enough horses (i7 4790k, 16gb ram, gtx 1080), the game is Starting to jump some frames for apparently no reason, randomly. And the crazy thing with that is I feel kinda Lucky as I’m not enduring any ctd at all. Just random, annoying, cpu core 0 flooding from time to time when racing.

Done recently the endurance 81 laps on cant remember track sorry it was late  was a stutter feist after around 60 laps. It was really awful and jeez I really wanted this win to complete the division despite around 20 laps of crazy framerate crap.

Recently bought destiny 2 on pc. Spent 5 minutes in game settings and voila game is running well.

It’s been a month I’m trying to run f7 nicely. Are optimizations problems really on our side, with our different rigs or on t10 side?

Seriously.

I7 4790k stock clock (windows high perfs settings =constant turbo boost @4.4ghz)
16gb ram 1600 ddr3
Gtx 1080 gigabyte g1 gaming
Nvidia pannel High perf, 388 latest driver
W10 1709
Windows game mode on or off same result.

For me it’s just all the time. I don’t have the game, just the demo, but the game noticeably microstutters despite running at a very high framerate, runs horrible. FH3 runs nice and smooth now, but Forza 7 is just endless stutters.

For me FH3 can’t ber played now(always crashes)
F7 still stutters but have not notice any random crashing like I had before.

Since windows update now notice stuttering in BF1 and Tf2 which I did not have before.

MS breaking more things as they add more .

My stuttering seems to have improved. However I’m not getting more CTD especially during races which I haven’t had happen before this update. Twide while playing last night. Lap 14 of spa extra long endurance which annoys me greatly.

Hello,

Since when I downloaded the Forza 6 game, I never managed to run decently on the PC with an i7 7700k gtx 1080 and 32 gb ddr4 2666 mhz.

Searching the internet to get rid of random STUTTERS and FREEZES, some tips softened the problems, such as restarting the game after racing started or disabling hyper threading.

These problems are more evident in the RIO DE JANEIRO track.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game in the windows store did not work, as well as enabling or disabling the game mode or even running on a clean installation of windows 1607 (before the creators update, which is said to be more stable).

I tried with and without overclocking the processor and sometimes the game worked extremely smooth, until restarting the pc, when the stuttering came back.

Giving up on solving the problem and quitting the game, I read in a random article about processor cache.

I noticed that the L2 and L3 caches of the i7 7700k (and apparently of any other) are disabled by default in windows.

By activating these L2 and L3 caches in regedit and restarting the pc, the Forza 6 works extremely smooth, without any stuttering, frozen or any other inconvenience.

I tested it yesterday and today everything is still excellent.

So, try to activate the L2 and L3 cache in regedit, reboot the pc, test!

I do not know the relation (I’m just curious) but for me to activate the processor caches solved the problems.

I did not test forza 7, because I also read about the same problems and prefer not to buy at the moment.

Maybe this can also help in forza 7. Who has the game, I think that testing this tip is valid, although nothing guaranteed.

I use win 10 version 1709

Sorry for errors in English, I’m Brazilian and I used the google translator.

Hugs.

Make sure that vSync in driver is set to Application Controlled and use one in game.

Yeah the game is still stuttering. It was stuttering in the demo, and now also after the latest patch. I have literally given up until they fix the stuttering. I have a GTX 1080ti coupled with a i7 7700K so it should be more than enough. I am pretty much just gone back to Forza Horizon 3 as at least that game is well optimized after having similar problems at first.

I suggest you hold off until Turn 10 address the problem, which may take a few months.
