How are you liking the Drift challenges on bucket list?

I suck at drifting so I tend to not bother with them, did get lucky getting over 60K for 3 stars with a Lancia on one of the drift zones though but that’s about it.

Especially following the many nerfs to drift zones last patch, if you think they’re ‘impossible’ then you’re just bad at drifting. Sorry.

It’s a skill that can be learned though, either through AWD or RWD, some take better to one than the other. But it’s really not that hard when you know how.

I don’t care for drifting. I’m not good at it and it’s not how approach a course. That said, i have no problem with these challenges bring included in the game.
I was able to hit the dumbed down Trueno challenge (thanks), but didn’t even bother with the three 3-star drift zone deal. I might try them later, but for now I’m good with 2 stars.
Know why? Because I suck at drifting. I shouldn’t be able to 3-star those without considerable effort on each or taking the time to learn to properly drift. It’s an achievement, not a present.
So I’ll nail speed zones and traps, because I’m good at that. Time permitting, I’ll attack the drift zones. Maybe.

I can’t tell I’m enjoying it, I always have to fight myself from taking a curve in an efficient way ; )

So I went to private online freeroam and did the chores by powersliding to the three stars mostly.

I only enjoy drifting when it’s rally-like and faster than taking a curve normally.

Top tip : Before you start any drifting in the game if you are struggling, turn off traction control in settings (don’t forget to turn it back on after).

I was struggling with drifting but after a few youtube videos and a little practice with traction control off I was able to 3 star most of the drift challenges with ease.

I think these little sections are great for skill points as well as car control practice.

IMHO the three most important things, Rear wheel drive car, Tune, Traction control.

okay what type of tune do i need for the car i am using? because the one drift event over at surfer’s paradise, it is impossible for me to complete without hitting a traffic car or AI drivatars and plus i usually complete some of em only one that i struggle at is the one at Byron Bay neighbourhood it is impossible.

I would suggest a Torana tune by boydy.

But if you want to use a different car get in the car you want and then search for a tune using the keyword 1 drift.

Try a few and eventually you will hopefully find one you like.

I find body’s Torana really easy to drift with.

:rage::rage::rage::dizzy_face::dizzy_face::dizzy_face::sob::sob::sob: is what drifting dose to me

I can empathize but when you do get it right it like a tuning fork goes off. That feeling of awesome golf swing, or execution of something similar.

If you go back a years, prior to FH2. You wouldn’t have caught me dead trying to drift. I was too interested in learning to be fast and drifting is rarely the answer for that and I was struggling to be fast. But I must say I alway respected those that did it well. Domestic Mango and DJS gymkana videos. I definitely admired how much car control they had.

Now I sort of enjoy it, especially when I’m able to do what I intend to do. Almost same feeling when I run a good lap or get a turn down. Slowly getting better.

I don’t like drifting. I’m also bad at drifting. Even when I manage a good drift score, I can’t even bring myself to care. So, to summarize: I don’t like them. At all.

They need a guardrail at the Byron bay drift zone the one where it’s a big u-turn hill because I can’t stop spinning out and going into the grass

For starters: Bucket List =! Drift Zones.

The Bucket List drifting challenges were the easiest of the bunch IMO. Speed and timed events are much more difficult.

Drift Zones can be difficult, but seriously, you’re supposed to work for the three stars. I’ll admit the game flooding the road with Drivatars just as you’re in the zones is cheap and should never have been considered as a gameplay feature in the first place, because crashes are inevitable in many situations, but I actually think I have more golds in Drift Zones than in either Speed Zones, Danger Signs or radars. Once you get two stars, it tells you how much you need for three if you fail, so you know what you’re gunning for and you can prepare accordingly.

I also recommend cars that get sideways easily. Classic Detroit Iron is great for this.

2 words,i don’t!!!
