Horizon vs Motorsport approaches to gameplay/racing

I approach horizon as a game where I can take my Lambo out for a Sunday cruise with a fresh pot of coffee. I do wish Horizon had more Motorsports physics realism tho.

MOTORSPORTS 5&6 music keeps me from playing. Im tired of the music which means no DLC for me!!!

I love Horizons choice of music. However FH2 music got old and Only had a couple of hit songs like Chrvches. I think Playground got the message because Horizon 3 music sounds amazing and will keep me back to play more which means ill buy DLC’s.

FM won’t have good music because it’s an actual racer. I agree what they do have is terrible, but you can at least turn it off. IMO the most important music in FM is the engine and tires. If you ignore them, you’ll be slow. In Horizon it doesn’t matter because the physics are easier and it’s more of a cruiser.

Good question. I played Horizon 2 with pretty much the same setup, but I was testing simulation steering (did not notice much difference). It seems like the settings have less impact on Horizon than on Motorsport, but could be imagination. Or maybe it’s more predictable and noticable on circuits because the arey … repetitive.

The thing I think I miss the point on is that my driving style has not changed either. I stick to the roads, use brakes, don’t cut corners (even when I’m supposed to) sometimes, I stop at lights. I still like cruising with the lower class vehicles, usually utilitarian vehicles - not exotics. And I am still trying to get more into offroad. I mean this game is much more than a mere cruiser.

I am also trying to figure out how to tune on roads vs track, or even to how much degree that matters. I think when I bought H1, I was looking for Forza on open roads, so I kept everything the same. H2, I still tend to do the same. If I buy H3, I think I would like to maybe play the game a bit more true to it’s point and try to have a bit more fun.

I play similarly between both gamesthough I find my driving style is a lot more adventurous and eager in horizon as if I go wide typically I can just go across the grass.
