Horizon 3 highway

From what i saw on YouTube there is a verry short highway
Is there anny footage of the highway
I like to cruise but im afraid that if you drive on the highway on full speed you are done in like 4 min because its look verry short
In the crew there are Roads and higways you can cruise on it for 30 min before the highway ends
Greeting Mike

it all depends on how fast your cars are

With the crew 30 min on a highway at full speed 350 km/h
Here on this highway i think 4 min if that so than what is the purpose of having fast cars when you can only go for 4 min on the freeway at full speed

bc the crew is
trash lol

I think this game’s focus is more offroad than long driving roads.

This. Its more of a focus on everything being wide open and thus more of an emphasis on the offroad parts of the game. From what I’ve seen it looks like the driving roads are a bit less than what I was hoping for, but once I get the game in hands that may change. Also why would you want to cruise full speed on a straight away for 30 minutes. Doesn’t sound like much fun to me, but than again I just enjoy hitting corners

The Highway seemed long enough to me but I’m probably wrong lol. The game is more targeted towards off-roading this year. I believe the map has doubled over FH2 but there aren’t double the roads however from what the demo felt like, normal roads seem to carry on for longer than FH3.

4 minutes at 200mph is pretty huge tbh.

13 miles / 21 km.

Driving flat out for 30 minutes to me would be so damn boring

The crew went for a big map over all else. Gameplay, graphics, and physics all suffered as a result.

It was fun, sure, but it couldn’t keep me interested for more than a few weeks (mainly due to the dumbed-down physics).

Im pretty sure there is a long highway from Surfers Paradise to the desert.

this game is finally free
and i’m seeing a lot of posts about
wanting restrictions, guardrails.
Now we are talking about driving on a highway? I am glad the crew took 30 minutes to drive but why do you want that here?
With all the things you can do now driving on a highway never even crossed my mind lol
I guess we all can do what we wish, but i’m starting to see why the devs can’t win.

I quite agree, driving on a highway for more than a few minutes gets boring very quickly I’d much rather have dirt trails, off road sections and winding, twisty roads where cars can be enjoyed fully instead of just in terms of speed.

Can anyone link the video for review? Thank you.

I love the Horizon series. That being said, the off road stuff is my least favorite, especially the add on in Horizon 1.

The Crew…yeah, that game. This is off-topic but I got that game free with Gold and legit played for about 5 minutes and got bored. It’s really nothing compared to Horizon lol

Even though they say its twice the size of horizon 2, i think the driveable area may be twice the size but the map isnt really much bigger. I was able to drive around the demo map taking the outermost road which isnt that straight in under 10 mins with the mustang. The demo is roughly a third of the map, so im going to assume to drive around the entire map will be about 20-30 mins.

The straightaway from surfers paradise to the edge of the outback probably takes 5-10 mins im thinking 7 which is similiar to horizon 2s longest highway if i remember correctly. Its definitely long enough to get top speed in any car.

Then theres another pretty straight road south of that which comes off of the outer road to the left of the airport. Thats definitely a longer road than the middle highway. I do enjoy going as fast as possible weaving in and out of traffic and imo theres enough roads that can be used for this. Even though theyre not perfectly straight they have long sweeping corners that shouldnt scrub too much speed.

The Crew did long in a really great way. I did the 4 hour race in a crew and that was great fun. The only problem was having it go out of sync about an hour in. The physics do indeed suffer, and their colour palette made for a really grim massive world for the most part, but I do absolutely love its scale. And that it lets you drive absolutely anywhere, whether it is sensible or not. Even underwater from a couple of spots, which is great because it helps uncover some spots on the map.

I am a little disappointed in how small the FH3 map ends up looking. 1.6x the roads of FH2 but based on the demo having 126 roads (pretty sure I found them all), there are a lot that are not that exciting or don’t add much, and there is an awful lot in between. I like the offroad stuff, but I thought FH2 had a really good balance, and the highways were great, especially for some of the jump opportunities they offered, and of course the views when they were suspended way above the towns.

I’m kind of surprised that the highway we do have here goes to the desert; I was more expecting like from northeast to southwest, based on the makeup of the map, but I guess they wanted to keep that rainforest area kind of empty, which is another thing: the world does seem emptier. Hopefully this doesn’t detract from the awesomeness too much. Having said that, the highways were only used in the roadtrips of 2 anyway, not in any championship races, and perhaps they felt there wasn’t so much need. I’m not sure how much they will be missed.

Have you seen the size of Australia it’s not just an island it’s a bloody continent if you want a long drive I guess the outback trucker road will more than answer your needs as for myself I am more than a little curious to see if these outback roads will actually have some of those amazing trucks pulling multiple containers included in the game.
