Hoped to return to Forza after 4-5 years - remember me? - but holding off due to widespread issues.

Hey FM.net! You are probably a real old fart if you remember me from my ‘prime’ here on FM.net, which was the FM4/FH1 time, maybe even FM3 period if I correctly remember. I was forced to kind of abandon Forza for a while (looong story) and took up Madden, which I am a huge fan of to this day (I had a short stint with FH2, but again, life happened). Anywho, I was hoping to return to Forza with FH3 because of time and the Play Anywhere movement. Unfortunately, it seems like Forza has more issues than its worth at this point… I will wait and see if issues get sorted by Black Friday. Hopefully so. In the meantime, I hope everybody has been doing well!

Wow, real long time. I remember the name, but only just. Always nice to see old names return, welcome back!

Whattup, NolDaMan. Welcome back.

I remember the name. Didn’t chat much, if at all, but good to see past names come back!

Welcome back but what issues?

Unless you’re a PC-player, I can safely say the One-version is pretty solid and I haven’t had any issues that gave me even the slightest annoyance.

Definitely remember your names everyone! Happy to see you guys here.
That is great to hear about the One version Octagon! I’ll do some more research and might just splurge.

Yeah the One versions seems pretty stable apart from a few minor issues but depends what your perspective is.

Whilst I do not view it as gamebreaking there is something going on with engines sounds not being quite right.

The X1 has a tendency to hang for a second or two nearing festival complexes on my install, but that’s about the only thing of note in my experience so far.

There’s some issues with servers reported unavailable with my pictures and the auction house also, but neither gets in the way of the actual racing, so it hasn’t annoyed me yet.

I like your signature.

I have a 5 year old PC that I dropped a GTX1070 into.

It’s doing awesome with 3 screens at 5760*1200 @ 30fps on High Settings. Will see how it handles Ultra next time. High pretty much looks like XB1 and even has some components that are more detailed, like water.

I have some very minor issues (triple screens don’t work well with the map is my biggest annoyance) but even the sync between XB1 and PC works pretty great when I want to switch over.

Mate came over the other day and his game synced to my PC and XB1 just fine (he only has PC). We ran cross platform co-op for the whole day with very very minor problems here and there and only occasional connection problems that happen with pretty much any game.

If you have an XB1 and a PC, you should be pretty safe to get something workable and enjoyable.

Well I’ll remember you. But for all the reasons you don’t want to be remembered.

And don’t presume to speak for anyone on here but yourself.

Yeah, that’s why you’re reading this thread, right?

What an insult. You’re a total coward (and that’s putting it nicely). You really owe him an apology.

I remember.

I am an old fart.

Welcome back

Hell, I remember him, (OP), and I pretty much only show up at title release times since FM5. The forums just got too depressing with all the rampant hostility when FM5 came out.

Nice to see some old regulars come back, and a relatively calm, friendly forum these days.
