Why do I only see this car spitting flames from the chase view?
Because they come from the engine’s exhaust ports
What?? YES I can see the flames coming out from the hood my eyes work great…kindly read my post again…why are they not visible in cockpit and hood view? I can still hear the exhaust popping flames.
IIRC the Scion in Shift 2 spat flames from the front exhaust… In cockpit view.
In hood view it’s probably for obvious reasons, I mean, how distracting it’d be to see those flames pop up every time in the hood view? There are other hood effects in the game but those aren’t nearly as distracting as flames.
In the interior view it was probably an oversight.

Pretty sure they did it to keep the frames locked at 60 fps in hood and cockpit view. It just looks funny to see no flames from these views and then you go to the chase view and you start seeing them again. It won’t be distracting at all BTW - it’s not like your hood catches fire every time, just two quick flames that barely come out for half a second or a second max. Sucks, that’s all.

Idk about the hood view, but you can see it in the cockpit view every once in a blue moon. It’s more just a quick flash instead of the typical flames.
Hmm, are you sure mate? Cos I hear the flames poppin but just NO visible flames at all. Clearly visible in chase cam. Are you on PC?

This is something that should be tested at nighttime IMO.
Yeap, no flames in hood and cockpit. Tested both night and day. It’s only visible from the outside view.
