Remove unnecessary exhaust flames from stock production cars

Now in Forza Motorsport almost all cars shoot flames like in Horizon series. Of course, there are bangs and pops in some cars, but few production cars really shoot flames as standard, so a more realistic implementation would have been desirable.

FM2023 currently:

Why isn’t it the case that when these cars in question are upgraded, then flames can be seen? That way it would also give a clearer visual difference between the standard and the upgraded car.

The amount of flame spitting from most cars is ridiculous. And quite frankly breaks immersion. Almost on every other downshift the car is spitting flames. I’ve never seen an Audi S4 in real life spit flames, nor have I ever seen that on a VW Golf MK.II for example. Turn it down a lot please. Flame spitting is fun with the Anti-Lag turbo in Horizon 5. But it has no place in Motorsport, not in the amount of flames we get now anyways.

I agree. it has a place in Horizon, not in Motorsport. Even my Audi S4 and Renault Clio are spitting flames like a dragon. Never seen those cars do that in real life.

I like that cars can shoot exhaust flames but think it should be toned down or limited to specific modifications.

For example, the new McLaren Artura spits flames in this game which isn’t accurate. No stock road legal car should be spitting flames. Racing exhaust or cams should be installed for that. Stock cars doing it feels arcadey

Don’t forget to mention upgraded fuel system lol. Engine tunes spit flames due to excess fuel dripping into the exhaust.

Voted! Totally agree.

My GR Yaris doesn’t throw flames in real life and in game, at every downshift are appearing. It reduces the inmersion. Should be only appear when you put the race muffler (free exhaust).

Little by little the game is improving but details like this remain. I’m sure that It is something simple to correct. I hope and wish that you can implement it for future updates.

Best regards.
