Honestly who cares about the dirt?

Let’s talk about forza’s very poor attempt at accumulating dirt on cars.

We all know it looks absolutely terrible, the fact that it takes less than one lap around Le mans for your car to appear as if someone smeared baby oil mixed With mayonnaise on it is kinda ridiculous.

Just let me enjoy a clean car and maybe work on the damage effects before we get to dirt.

Also that is important, infact, in WEC, sometimes pitstops are for cleaning the car. You can watch it.

Is it actually part of the game though? I.e. are any of the windows washed/wiped when you do a pit stop?

I do enjoy the dirt, it shows there is some attention to detail, even though it would be nicer if the same attention to detail was applied in other areas of the game.

No, but i like to see it! Dirt shouldn’t have to be just visually, dirt must effect the car at some point.
More realism is better.

I think it looks great and adds realism; sure it may be a little exaggerated, but it’s better than nothing.

I think OPs point is that the cars get dirty too quickly, which i agree with.

That being said the “dirt” effect on matte paint jobs looks horrible. Looks like someone ate an entire bag of chips and then just smeared their hands all over the paint.

Heres what i mean

I was hopeful this was going to be a thread about dirt-based racing. Like short-track or rally-cross.

Man we need some variety in the worst way in this game.

As far as graphical dirt/rubber accumulation goes, I like the fact that its there. I don’t like the fact that apparently all of it magically misses the windshield, so it doesn’t affect visibility the way it should. It doesn’t affect cooling, because there are no in-game mechanics for that, I imagine. It’s just dark glitter, which is fine, but boring.

A pit stop to pull a windshield tear-off or clean the grill would be awesome. But again, like I’ve said about 100x now, there are so many other items that would presumably take higher priority that we should never see anything like this. Then again, it doesn’t appear as if they are tackling issues in a way that makes me think they have prioritized the same issues, in the same way, that the community has.

Exactly!! It’s a great feature but there’s lots more issues to be Discussed about & sharing our experiences with the game and to accept that the game might be fun & everything in between for you just remember just because you haven’t experienced issues doesn’t make it acceptable to disregard other peoples experiences ladies and gentlemen
