I been playing forza for a while , I some what understand tunning but can anyone help with like a basic baseline tune where to start from (tire pressure, camber, toe , caster, springs, ride height, brakes, dif etc) I would greatly appreciate it.
Tire Pressure > 30.5 Front and 30 Rear
Camber > -1.0 Front and -0.5 Rear
Toe > 0.0 Front and 0.2 or 0.3 Rear
Caster > 3.5* - 5.0* Depending on car
Springs > When you add race springs, Either stiffen or soften a little in the front to what you want and soften rear 100 - 200 lbs or whatever # you want but don’t go too far with it.
Dampers > Soften a little bit both front and rear on bump and rebound stiffness
Ride Height > Don’t go all the way low for every car. You’ll want to go a couple notches up from the lowest setting.
Brakes > I usually put my balance 55% to the front and force top 135% - 150% so I won’t have to fully pull the trigger to slow down a lot.
Differential > RWD - 75% or higher Accel and 75% or higher Decel. AWD and FWD I don’t use alot so…
Once you fix tune like so ^^^ then take it around and fine tune it as you go.
I respect what Dire has written, but I would disagree with a lot of what he wrote. FGx a lot of what your baseline would be will depend on what assists you drive with and what class of car you are driving. If you can be more specific on the car you can get more help.
Have a look through base tunes, try a few.
A tune depends more on the built car and your driving style than anything else, it also depends on what you call grippy. If you want a car that is glued both ends and tight or oversteery when you poke it with a stick or understeery.
It all depends solely on you and you alone.
I can help with the diff though.
A lower diff lock makes turning and accelerating easier out of corners but can make it twitchy on the brakes and lift off.
I personally tend to sit at
28-45% acceleration (depending on wether it’s pushing on exit or hanging it’s tail out)
35-82% deceleration (depending on wether it’s twitchy or not)
Brakes are normally 50/146 +/-2% bias if need be.
Tyre pressures usually set the rear 1-1.5 psi lower than the front
Go to flash tunes by ERS JOHNSON, and many other tuners.
That’s the one I ment
