Got the new 1TB Xbox, have the game loaded, and it’s starting over after loading and syncing my profile.
Steps taken:
- Loaded game with internet connection
- Synced profile 100%
- Game started over (username at the top shows the club I joined, but only 4000 credits, have over 10 mil.
- Uninstalled Game
- Reinstalled game without internet
- Hooked up to Network, performed update
- Synced User Account 100%
- Game started over (username at the top shows the club I joined,
- Uninstalled/reinstalled user account on the new xbox
- Game started over after syncing again
Anybody else having problems with new Xbox’s?
Forza games have sync problems compared to other games when you get a new Xbox, I found it just had to be left for a couple of hours when i received my new console, Other games would sync the save in about 2-5 seconds…Horizon 2 & Forza 5 took hours. Stick with it it will come good eventually.
Wow that’s not cool, I haven’t experienced this exact thing but I did have sync issues once which required me to delete my local game save, then reinstall/re sync… maybe try that?
Hmm. Forza has a history of utilizing safe measures to prevent cheating via duplicate game saves. Is this, perhaps, a consequence of not moving your Forza game save file from your old console to your new console, effectively creating a duplicate save file that is causing issues with the server? That answer, I do not know. I am merely speculating.
This may be a suggestion for those considering getting a new console: before connecting the new console to the internet, move (not copy) the Forza game save file to the new console; then connect the console to the internet to sync with the cloud. Again, this is only speculation.
As far as I know, the Xbox One has eliminated game save files. Everything follows the gamertag in the cloud from the looks of it, that way you can login to any xbox anywhere, and get your actual game based on profile. If you go over to a friends house and login, you are supposed to get your saved game on his xbox under your own profile. I’ve never tried that, but essentially, that what should be happening with a brand new xbox as well.
That isn’t true; otherwise, how would anybody be able to play offline? Additionally, you can find your locally stored save by going to the manage game screen and scroll to the right to locate the game save data file.
There are no options for that save though from what I can see other than deleting the local save or global save. I’m deleting that local save now and redoing the sync one more time. 3rd times a charm right?
As I remarked, that suggestion was purely speculative.
for some reason mine would not load my game data from where i was last. so i reinstalled the game and when it started back up the game restarted me back the the beginning, but left all my in game completions such as the mph signs you drive through. can someone please help me get my profile back some do not loose all of my cars and how far i was in the game.
