IMSCC stands for Import Meet Street Car Competition. A unique event held in the Pacific Northwest that measures the many attributes of a select group of hand-picked local imports.
This HMA breaks down the IMSCC scoring system and shares the 2013 rating process in words and videos, along with some photos of the 2013 contestants.
I’m looking for your favorite car from the 2013 IMSCC and if any of you think you could conduct this sort of competition in Forza Motorsport 5? I’m open to ideas and would possibly sponsor a contest that sounded well though out. It doesn’t have to mirror the IMSCC, just be representative of its style.
I don’t know why but I really enjoy watching drag races. and these videos were really nice. I loved the Skyline and the Supra of all the cars. Some of my favorite cars of the bunch! Great HMA
Great read this week for the HMA! Thoroughly enjoyed that. I’m not much of an import guy, but it was cool to see a collection of final cars like that competing for first place. Even before I read who won, I just really like the '95 Civic. I think they have so much going for them. They are very quick and nimble because of their size, can be customized to look amazing and they are a Honda, so they are reliable and great for daily driving. I would honestly love to see more pieces like this for HMA rather than just one car being featured. I think it helps bring awareness to these types of groups and events.
I myself wouldn’t want to come up with a contest that measured different aspects of cars and their characteristics, but I could certainly see this working somehow in Forza. There’s a great painting community as well as the racing aspect of the contest. It would be interesting to see if someone could come up with a way to do this. Cheers!
Its awesome to see your reporting on this event. I personally loved the 91’ Galant VR-4. I have always loved those cars for how rare they are. Being the grandfather to the Eclipse/Talon and Lancer Evo. I think the one that competed was a good example of a well balanced car.
I would really love it if you guys bring it to Forza 5! Please!
Skyline looked AWESOME! Truly forbidden fruit in america! Great article. Probably the best one so far. I haven’t heard of these guys and I am actually going to sub to their youtube channel because of this article. Great stuff!
Hey John, how are you my friend…very nice HMA. I do like the idea of this style of competition verses the standard car show. I to find the daily driver that’s kept in great condition deserving of more respect than the “trailered” hotrod that never sees the road. So, after watching a bit of the vids I was really impressed by Stu Hagman’s 97 Toyota Supra, love that it put out 677 hp on the dyno. Also have to hand it to Johnny’s 2000 Skyline GT-R putting out a nifty 614 hp. I whole heartedly felt the RX-7 would take the Autocross so imagine my surprise when the least expensive car took the title…a Honda. I did like the way Christianson’s GT-R sounded as it blazed between cones.
Great read i’ve never herd of them before so thank you I will look them up now.I love the blue Nissian Skyline all time fav.I don’t have Forza 5. unicorn Impreza S-204 SLEEPYP1980

As ever a great read, i love watching the videos,
I think that drag racing more normal vehicles is an under followed sport. Love seeing street looking cars going very very fast.

For me I would take Quentin Christensen’s 2009 Nissan GT-R all day long. Like most people I would only be able to afford 1 of these cars. (having a stable of exotic imports would be AMAZING but lets be real) The GT-R is an all around winner, track-day and an everyday driver to me says a lot. Imaging picking up your kids or grabbing some groceries in some of the other cars. Not very practical and by all means not subtle. Its almost a sleeper (to those who are not in the know on the streets) most people would not give it a second glance on the road… until you unleash all them 512 horses and that’s the last time the will see that car leaving them wondering " what the hell was that?"
All in all great HMA.
