Qualifying/Race Information
Each race meeting will consist of two qualifying sessions and two races. The whole meeting should last roughly between 60 and 70 minutes, Depending on how smoothly everything goes. Each race meeting will kick off with qualifying one (Three flying laps, Collisions off) to set the grid for race one. Following race one we’ll take a five minute break to allow drivers to use the toilet and grab a drink etc. Then qualifying two will start (Three flying laps, Collisions off) to set the grid for race two. Each race will last roughly between 25 and 30 minutes (Using laps, Rather than a timed event), With each race having one mandatory pitstop (During a certain period of the race. Between laps 5 and 10 for example).
Success Penalty System
A success penalty system will be in place to make it harder for drivers to dominate each race meeting. The penalty is in the form of a gird penalty for the following race (Be it race 2 of the meeting, Or race 1 of the next weeks meeting).
- 1st place will be given a 7 place grid penalty.
- 2nd place will be given a 5 place grid penalty.
- 3rd place will be given a 3 place gird penalty.
So for example if the winner of race one qualifies 3rd in qualifying 2, He would in fact start 10th for race 2.
For this reason another lap will be needed to line up the grid. Drivers will perform an out lap, Before taking their places on the grid and waiting for a time to called out on the clock. When the clock reaches that time the race will start (Go at 1minute 10seconds for example).
Restarts
Restarts will not occur unless three or more drivers lag out of the room within the first two laps.
Assists/Damage settings
Traction Control - Allowed
Stability Control - Not Allowed
Steering - Normal or Simulated
Damage - Limited
ABS - Allowed
Dynamic Racing Line - Allowed
Collisions - Always On (Except qualifying)
Penalties
The Forza Sports Car Challenge is a race series for mature and clean drivers. If a driver maliciously comes into contact with another car, he will receive a 10 point penalty. All accidents will be reviewed by a race official and all parties contacted to submit a statement.
If a driver cuts a corner of the track with two tires going across a rumble strip onto the grass or over the white lines of the track while passing it will result in a 10 point penalty. Two tires may be placed on rumble strips during cornering but if the two tires pass over the rumble strip and onto the grass, it will be penalized. If a pass is illegal, the passing driver must immediately drop back to his original position before the pass.
If a driver causes an accident maliciously they will be suspended for one race.
When cornering or passing it is the responsibility of the following driver to avoid contact. The car in front may not know that the car behind is making a move and is not always able to avoid contact. The exception to this rule is the following: If the lead driver makes a blocking move on the rear car and causes contact, it will be the lead drivers fault. We will assume he has seen the following car and it is up to the lead driver to make the blocking move safely.
Drivers are able to submit a race incident review during the 48 hour period after the second race. A race incident report must include the heat number, the lap and drivers involved and be submitted in private to a race official. Any discussion of the incident is to remain off of the forza forums.
After the stewards review an incident and rule on it, drivers may appeal the decision if they feel fit and it will be reviewed by a new group of stewards.
