HMA is back, I apologize to the HMA readers that have been missing my weekly installment of car culture, but somethings are beyond one’s control, and vacations are a needed respite from even the most loved jobs.
So, here we go with a cool car I found at a local car show. If you didn’t know the original Toyota Celica GT is also a part of the Hot Wheels Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 5.
Check it out!
I will be offering gifts to those who post pictures of the different generations of the Celica or post about the nuances of each generation and why you think they are better or worse.
Gotta be my favourite Celica right here. AWD, turbo goodness. I prefer the flip up headlights over the bug eyes on the ST205. Seriously considering importing one to Canada from Japan. Baaaaap chu chu chu
Its always nice to see some old Japanese classics around. In Hungary we don’t have too much of these Celica GT-s, my fathers friend tried to buy one a few years ago. That was the first time (I hope not the last) when I seen one of these. The car was in horrible condition, it missed a lot of parts trough the years in the back yard, but the bigger problem was that they don’t had legal sales from the GT. After the register check, it turned out that the car has five owners, so the papers where a mess. My fathers friend don’t wanted to make trouble for these people so he didn’t forced the car sale anymore.
Some curiosity: six years ago we had two of these in the country.
My favorite one is the 83 Celica Supra because I love the shapes of the car, It looks perfectly. I have to say that I always wanted to drive one .
well where do i start on this Infamous invasion lol, im glad johniwanna has given the celica some lime light in this months HMA as i myself have been involved with a rather special 1976 Toyota celica fastback, started off as a late night/early morning conversation between myself and Marc Huxley from Huxley Motorsport, a man known for building the crazy, some may recall a old volvo estate running a bmw v8 some time back which was probably one of the most insane cars ive seen, so with that said me (infamous Creations) and Marc (Huxley Motorsport) hatched a deviously sideways plan.

I love the one you posted as my favorite Celica is the 76-77 Liftback or the “Japanese Mustang” as its often referred to. They are also easy to customize and for a late 70’s car - They look like the 1967-1970 muscle cars and have quite the cult following.
